Frustrating Experience with Order Cancellation and Refund at Greek Souvlaki.
I recently ordered dinner online from Greek Souvlaki and encountered significant issues that have left me quite disappointed. Initially, I placed my order through the Toast app, but within less than 5 minutes, I realized that one of the dishes I ordered was incorrect. I attempted to cancel the order online, but since I had already made the payment, I was unable to cancel it in the app. Therefore, I decided to call the restaurant to rectify the mistake. On the night of November 16, when I called, the person who assisted me was unable to help with the cancellation or refund and mentioned she would leave a note for the assistant to address the issue the following day. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I could not return until a week later to follow up on my refund. When I visited the restaurant again, I spoke with an assistant named Mauyra. She acknowledged seeing the note and assured me she would inform her manager about my situation. However, it has been some time since that interaction, and I am still waiting for them to process my refund. Despite reaching out three times for an update, I was repeatedly informed that only the owner of the store could resolve such matters. While I understand that issues can arise, I am aware that, by law, I have a month to reclaim this issue, which adds to my frustration. As it stands, I am simply trying to get back the $44.83 for the incorrect order. I hope that Greek Souvlaki can address this matter promptly to improve their customer service and ensure that other patrons do not face similar challenges in the future. Overall, my experience has been unsatisfactory, and I hope to see better communication and resolution processes...
Read more11/13/19 Edit: Ordered today and they didn't pack my Online order in styrofoam! You guys are awesome! (Technicalities first: second time eating at this chain/location, first time using their online ordering system. Online system is very user-friendly, but it does require you to sign in or create an account. I asked for extra sauce, and no tomato. The tomato was left on, and so much sauce was in the gyro that I assumed that's how they interpreted the 'extra' it instead of a cup on the side. Kinda disappointing, but not a deal-breaker. It was hot and ready right in time, and I was greeted nicely when I walked in, and the restaurant was VERY clean and tidy, like wow. The meat is well-seasoned, the pita is a really nice texture, I would prefer more tang to the white sauce, and bigger pieces of cucumber for crunch, but that's just personal preference. 5 stars for clean restaurant and good impression by staff, 4 stars for the food.)
I felt very comfortable with what to expect: tasty pita, seasoned meat, an ocean of thick bland fries. I was not let down on any of those. When I picked it up, I forgot to ask for fry sauce, and as I was contemplating the depressing notion of all those hot bland fries, I discovered the secret hidden sauces at the bottom of my bag! Instead of putting the little containers on top to then tip over and make a mess, they were cleverly placed under the take out box along with the extra tzatziki sauce I had asked for. I'm still so happy about it! Thank you for taking care of my sauce needs! I'll definitely order...
Read moreGreek Souvlaki is certainly more authentic than other local Greek faire. But with what we ordered authenticity didn’t mean better nor even as good. We shared the Greek Fries and Chicken Souvlaki Dinner. Neither was anything we’d ever order again. The only highlight was the grilled onions and zucchini. Might return to try their Greek spaghetti and or Dolmathes.
Really like Greek cuisine especially Lemon Rice, Gyros, Chicken Souvlaki, Dolmathes and Greek Spaghetti. Like that they are a environmentally friendly restaurant. The to go trays are plastic not styrofoam. They are microwavable and reusable. Use the two now for my lunches.
Used to eat at Greek Souvlaki with my Dad. He loved the choice of red or white sauce on Gyros. Most Greek restaurants only have one or the other not both.
Kept seeing window advertisements for their Greek Fries. Decided to try a order. Also got a Chicken Souvlaki dinner. The Greek fries sounded like carne asada fries. Well unfortunately they aren’t at all. They were not anything I’d ever get again. The fries were soggy, cold and flavorless. The toppings clashed with the fries. Might have been good over a bed of rice. Their rice was okay but not lemon unlike the better rice at Yanni or Olympus Burgers. The Chicken had a okay mouthfeel. But it left a...
