My husband and I ealked3 over to Del Taco late last night. We are full time RVers so cannot fit thru the drive thru. So we decided parking our RV and walking inside would be perfect especially since their dining room is open till 12am. We got there around 1145pm to find the doors locked and the sign saying the inside was open until 12am. We shook the doors and tried to make eye contact with an employee, which of course didn't work. So while standing outside trying to figure out where we could go get our late dinner 3 employees walked out to go home. My husband asked them if the dining room was open and a man replied just ordet thru the drive thru. So my husband myslef and our dog had to get in the drive thru line behind 3 vehicles with 1 behind us. We stood in front of the order menu for a very long time and no one said anything so my husband asked the cat behind us to pull up so they would ask us to order. We finally ordered and walked thru the drive thru and got to the window. The employee at the window was so rude. Barely speaking to us...seeing us standing there yet not opening the window to acknowledge us, he was vwry short with us and handed us the order never saying anything to us. The whole experience was sh*y. It's very hard being a full time RVer especially during COVID19. Finding food places that allow walk in especially wheb we are driving thru late nights are a treat for us. Expect this time. This was horrible. The food was ok. Not made with care but understandable since it was so late and they were busy. I didn't have my cell charged last night to take pics of our experience. Read moreNight crew is excellent! I love american sliced cheese and the night crew will always switch normal cheese out for american cheese without a problem. But the day crew seemed lethargic. They were not talking loud or clear enough. I asked if they could switch the cheese for american cheese and she said "so you want me to add cheddar cheese?" And I said "no, like the sliced american cheese that you have on hamburgers here please" and she said, "so, cheddar." By this point I figured she probably knew what she was talking about so I just said "yeah sure" so when I got my burrito there was grated cheddar cheese on it instead of what I very specifically said, TWICE, american cheese. I didn't want to make a big deal because it's just fast food and I didn't have the time to ask them to fix it. so I just ate it anyway but at least I can leave a bad review. Maybe if your customer asks for something specific just take the extra couple of seconds to click the right button on the touch screen. She had to put in ALL THAT EXTRA EFFORT to press the "add cheese" button anyway. She probably did it just to spite me. If I could leave a tip for the night crew I would because they always do way better than the day crew. I'm mostly just mad because I made it very clear, and instead of just saying "we cant do that" she decided to get it...
Read moreI’ve been going here for years and I’ve given them chance after chance. The staff here is unbelievably rude. There is only one manager here that is decent. Unfortunately today I got one of the rude ones. After I was served stale food at the drive thru , i brought it back for a refund. The MOD insisted on taking the fact that she sent out stale food personally. She took it upon herself to argue with me about the food saying she made it herself. Which doesn’t take away from the fact that she sent out stale food. Instead of issuing the refund and letting me be on my way, she decided to be rude and cut me off and not let me talk. Even tho I was being very patient and respectful. The simple fact is, if my food is stale, you fix it. Period. No feelings need to be involved. It was unacceptable for her to slam the food in the the trash or to argue with me about my food. The manager gets an F in customer relations. To top it all off even though I was with my child, I was getting stared down by one of the male employees with a tattoo on his neck. To feel like I may have to defend myself for asking for a refund politely is RIDICULOUS. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with employees being passive aggressive or flat out aggressive in general at this location. 08/20 12:29 pm. Hopefully someone at corporate see this...
