Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Murray

Alright, you're not ready for how wicked awesome this place is. You take one look at this little building and immediately know the food is fire. You walk in and see the nicest family behind the counter. Friendly welcoming service and wholesome people. The lady that usually takes my order is always nice and kind. But the food? Hoo boy you are not ready. You want the best taco you've ever had? You want your mouth to fall out of your head because it can't handle how delicious this taco is? Ok, cool, have 4 of them. That'll be $6. Trust me, I like to eat. I will buy a 12 party pack of deluxe tacos from taco bell and smash every last one in 30 minutes, but 4 tacos from this place and I feel full. My child won't touch food with a 10 foot pole, but a chicken quesadilla from here is his favorite. My wife cries tears of joy when she eats their steak tacos. I go to bed at night dreaming of the spicy chorizo burritos. This is the best place to get tacos in Murray, no questions asked. The only negative thing I can say about this establishment from heaven is that they are not on doordash and I wish they were. This restaurant is normally a great place to eat but, when the owner is not working it's a very bad place to eat. Yesterday "Sunday 05/22/23" we went to eat there. First of all we weren't given any chips or salsa like normal, we had to ask for them. We ordered 2 carnitas tortas 2 French fries and 2 drinks. When he brought the order he put down 2 tortas and 2 drinks NO French fries. We were charged $20.30 for 2 tortas and 2 drinks. The tortas were $5.50 a piece that's $11. 00. Like I said we were not given any French fries. I advised him that he forgot the fries and he said "oh sorry" unless the drinks were very expensive we were definitely over charged. Also we usually have the carnitas plate and a California burrito but was advised upon ordering that there was nothing available on the second page of the menu only the first page. We usually love this restaurant and hardly go on the weekends. My advice is to stay away of this restaurant unless you see a very nice black SUV in the parking lot. That's the owner. So to start, if not for Google maps we would not have know this restaurant was here. Zero visibility at night that say restaurant. Once inside the dining room the atmosphere went school Cafeteria. Limited seating, uncomfortable tables and chairs. Not well cleaned. Floors, tables sticky. However the servers are pleasant and the smells from the kitchen are enough to stay and try the food. So we ordered and shall wait. The fact it doesn't come flying out 2 minutes after it's ordered is a welcome sign. Means they are cooking. And since I can see and hear the lady's cooking I am anticipating great things. The feeling of being back in Mexico in the kitchen of a friend's mother.
