Not at all trying to complain. Just writing my review!
I'm going to first say that I just HAD to come here because the reviews said this was a good place to get tasteful food at a cheap price. I am from Chicago so I decided to stop by!
I'm going to first say that the Winecheer float is REMARKABLE! Though it seemed to have been made with frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, it is BY FAR the best FLOAT compared to many other foods chains including Steak and Shake! I said what I said!
I will go on to say that I don't recommend new employees to be put on the register. The young man who took my order was new okay! I took note how I overheard him not knowing exactly what could be included into an order with a customer in front of me.
Of course when I got to the front, he was very patient and professional. However I was not made aware that I will be charged for certain toppings. He only asked me if I wanted everything on my burger.
After placing my order, I stared at my receipt for almost 10 minutes trying to figure out how did a tray for $7.39 total to be $9. I did order a side of nacho cheese for my fries which cost 50 cents. But it wasn't till later I realized that I was charged for the cheese placed on my burger as well as charged for the tomato????
Not only that, but in so many words you get what you pay for. The cajun fries were five out of 10 because they were slightly like a dry-ish overcooked. The burger was not only small as well but the patties were thin. The burger also wasn't the greatest tasting something you could buy. The quesadilla was okay but it was very small and only had crumbs of chicken in it.
I actually regretted making this decision. I wish I would have just stuck to my first mind and got the junior tray. I really wanted the chicken sandwich and I should have gotten that.
Bottom line, I don't really recommend this place for food. But if you want a really decent shake or float this is...
Read moreI liked Cookout at first. Gave them high praise. The problem with a chain restaurant, especially a new one, is that they seem to think that once they establish themselves, it's fine to turn the quality, and quantity of food served... down.
I want to remind you folks over there at Cookout of something... changing your portion sizes, constantly, while simultaneously degrading the quality of service and customer appreciation is not acceptable. You jumped on a business opportunity here in Murray, KY, and opened an establishment. I know you are probably trying to cut corners, save food cost, and run a tight ship... but... you've set a precedent for amazing food. Now... it's not even...
I JUST went there, and ordered a meal. My burger, I ordered with ketchup, mayo, mustard, pickles, tomatoes, cheese, onions and lettuce. My burger has... cheese, onions, and lettuce. Go fig. Something, not quite complicated... simply everything plus cheese and tomato... is degraded into an inedible lump of what might be considered edible on some planet elsewhere in the cosmos.
The fries portion size has been decimated... the chicken nuggets, were once 5, then 4, now 3... the big double, was the size of your huge burger now... and your huge burger's only problem was that it was so huge. Now... it's not even the size of a single patty of the original huge burger. EVEN THE SWEET TEA SEEMS LIKE IT'S BEEN WATERED DOWN!!! If there is one... SINGLE... THING... that you do NOT do in the south... it is water down the sweet tea.
Are you TRYING to lose customers? Cause you just lost one. This is my complaint. I don't want my money back. I don't want another meal. In fact, I'm cutting my losses entirely on this one. You will not have my...
Read moreThis is my late night go to, even tho I live in Mayfield and hafta try to eat while I'm driving home. They have milkshakes that make it worth the drive every time though. My only problem is that I order the about the same thing every time.. (a tray or 2 occasionally, if a friend rides along).. but the price is ALWAYS different.... its supposed to be around 7 dollars a tray. I definitely feel that is fair for the quality and quantity of food you receive. And a drink comes with it and includes a milkshake in the drink choices. Last time they charged me almost 20.00 for this order and told me I had to pay for the shakes separately and would not give me the drinks that I had also paid for. I'm still going to eat there though. I just wish this restaurant would get its prices under control and employees better trained... instead of just slamming the window when asked a question like it annoys them.. well it annoys me that you change the menu prices to your own every night and get mad when I ask why it's so high. 7+7=14... so... most of yall are in college working there... I bet you aren't passing your math classes, are you..?? Ima still eat there though.. cause nothing else is open till 3am wkdays. 4am weekends.. and cause the milkshakes are always on point!! That's all. Great food. Great shakes. Questionable prices and iffy...
