Los Portales Taco Shop — Restaurant in Murrieta

Being that's it's of Scott Rd & Newport Rd. There's not to many Mexican food places in the area. pretty decent food here. I'm a burrito guy, why not have the entire flavor of your meal in one delicious bite! That said, the last trip there had me enjoying the Pollo Asada burrito. The chicken has a decent char flavor backed up with beans rice and some guac on the side (I order it on side, as I've noticed we tend to get more, than asking out inside🤔👍🏻) The wife tends to get a taquito plate, but since trying my burrito has also given the👍🏻 to the pollo burrito. As for the atmosphere, pretty much inline with the Taco shop & Los Primoo (pretty much food wise too) with an edge to Primos for burritos. If you live in the area I could see this as your go to. This was my first visit and it was a pleasant surprise. I had the breakfast chorizo burrito and I can honestly say it's the best I've had anywhere locally. It wasn't greasy and the beans were definitely homemade. The restaurant was spotless and the service was pretty good. I'll definitely be coming back. I'm adding to this review on my 10th visit and this spot hasn't disappointed me yet. I just had their grilled chicken taco salad and it was excellent. It was a pleasant surprise that there was no rice and beans inside the taco shell to make it soggy. Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Los Portales Taco Shop. The hard shell tacos (both shredded beef and shredded chicken) were full of meat, juicy, and very tasty. The bean & cheese tostado was good. I personally like a crispier, bigger tostado shell. And the chicken rolled tacos were crispy & full of meat. They were very good. The service at the cash register was friendly and helpful.
