Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in Murrieta

I will definitely not be returning to this location! Absolutely horrible service and food was not up to Rubio's standard par. The restaurant was not busy when my fiancee and I arrived with a few customers here and there. I ended up ordering 2 gourmet chicken tacos rolled into a burrito and headed out side with my fiancee to take a seat since we ordered for dine in. A few minutes went by and one of the servers brought out my fiancee's nachos , so since we ordered at the same time I figured my order would be out shortly. About 10 minutes after waiting I still hadn't received my order and ended up taking my number up to the counter. I approached one of the front cashiers and asked if my order was almost ready and noticed a burrito sitting under the heat lamp.The same cashier grabbed the burrito from under the heat lamp and asked if it was okay? As I went to grab the plate from her, I noticed that there were beans spread all over the plate and the burrito was sloppily made, practically falling apart all over. I then asked for a remake because there was no way I was eating something that had just been sitting there for who knows how long in addition to the appearance of the burrito. I ended up having to wait in the front for my remake for another 5 plus minutes while the cooks and cashier continued to glare at me. Frustrating experience. Short story long ;-) Received a buy one get one email. went in to order as the email code didnt work online. Turns out the email neglected to include the all mighty QR code just above where it stated scan above code at the register (and yes i tried different devices to see if it was a setting on that phone). Do you see where this is going? The counter person hit a brick wall on what to do. No QR no deal. I asked to speak to the manager. At that point the counter person offered a "deal" that would just cost 50 cents more than our emailed deal. And at that point it became a matter of principle not $. Honor the rubio co emailed deal. But its just 50cents he replies condescendingly. I know. We should have just walked out, but we're already 15 min into this ordeal. Here's a think outside the box solution "sorry for the inconvenience I'll just honor the company generated email". No such luck. But he did offer to now pay the 50 cents. which i replied "i dont want you to, you're not understanding my point". So, after setting up another rubios account with the app download receiving a second offer with the sacred QR code, placed the order and stated i would like to still speak to the manager. I'm the manager sir. Wow rubios moves fast. Promotion to manager in 15min. Its too bad there are no other places i can get tacos from locally. Oh wait, there's 25 in a 3...

BEST TACOS IN THE LAND! Oof, Rubio's does not play with their tacos, I had an absolutely amazing dining experience during my visit to this location. I ordered the OG Taco Plate and it was glorious per usual. My parents got a shrimp bowl and shrimp tacos, both got the seal of approval. My mango lime agua fresca was refreshing and perfect for a summer day. We're Rubio's fans, so we will definitely be returning soon!

I want to give major praise to our server and cashier, Taylor (Beans?), I loved her energy and positive vibes. She was so professional and made us feel right at home, give this woman a raise ASAP! She was a one-woman show and was running the place like a well-oiled machine. Please tip your servers ya'll, they work so hard.
