Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Murrysville

The food quality is great but the service was terrible if I could rate it negative stars I would. It was my first time going to a tropical smoothie, and when I was waiting for mine and my friends smoothie when they announced my friend name they wrote the wrong name on the cup and kept pronouncing it wrong and then kept snickering. After a couple of minutes of waiting they finally said her right name. When her food came out they pronounced it wrong again and snickered again. It was obvious that they were making fun of my friends. When I finally addressed it they laughed again and apologized and mumbled some excuse well snickering. I went to school for hospitality and this is no way to treat a paying customer. We payed for our stuff and just expected a nice meal not to be made fun of. You need to train your employees better or you may lose...

The first time I went here I ordered a smoothie. Took forever to place my order and then to make it. I recently stopped by and ordered 2 Turkey apple dijon sandwiches and a sunrise sunset smoothie. I had a coupon. They were not busy. I sat and waited for my food. I looked over my receipt and noticed the coupon wasn't applied. I went and showed the girl. She couldn't figure out how to fix it. Got another employee and he wasn't much help. Another customer came to order, she asked me if I mind if she waited on him! Of course I said yes! Then she asked to write down my debit card # so they could fix it later. Um, no! I asked if she could just give me the difference in cash. This was ridiculous. Took forever and I can't understand why she didn't apply the coupon in her hand in the first place! Definitely not...

We love this place! Great food and smoothies. My only complaint is.... there will be no line, my boyfriend will order before me and then a few people will come in after us to order. My order will be ready instantly and we’ll be waiting for his to be done. There’s so many girls making smoothies and finally 20 mins later they make my boyfriends? We hear a ton of woman’s names being called to pick up their smoothies that came in way later than us and his name still won’t be called. There was only 1 time a worker asked us if we were waiting for something since she noticed us there for awhile and she made his smoothie only because we mentioned it. This has happened multiple times and it’s making him not want to come back. It’s completely unfair to make customers wait forever for something that takes 3...
