Hamlin's El Toro — Restaurant in Muskogee

Ok so let's start this off right , first let me say this is my first time to this place this review had some good most bad of this experience 1 pull into parking lot , very kept lots of space 2 walk inside the door the first thing I noticed is the employees working the front along with other staff do not smile when customers come in , 3 front desk got us seated we asked for a booth so far so good ok we sit no we are told some9 will be with u shortly 15 mins go by until we are noticed and the place is not even busy We get are drinks we also order at the same time , first round of drinks come there made right lots of ice ran out of drink with in the first 5 min I had it waited 10 be for I got my refills now she took our cups and bought them back with diet soda in them yuck also I am allergic to the fake sweetener that's in diet she took my order and my drink order I even told her when she took the cups for refills its Pepsi she still brings back diet again yuck , the only thing that was any good at this place was chips and cheese the queso is good , ither things were not so good ...now we are ready to leave . So we could not finish the food to the fact that my finances spaghetti we found a long hair we didn't say anything as the employees all ready seems annoyed with us being there , we had only one times been checked on by our waiter ended up having to get a different waiter to go and find our waiter just to get the check this took 20 minutes total cost of this horrible experience 43$ what a RIP off I could have had a better experience at the hard rock dinner for this price , I work hard for what money I make how dare u treat customers with such disrespectful attitude . If this place keeps this up i dont see it being open much longer sorry to say

SNEAKY CHIP CHARGE! Be careful if you are a light eater and usually just order a ala carte item. They will bring you the chips and white dip/salsa before taking your order. Then when you look at the menu, there is a paragraph in it that says you will be charged for the chips and salsa if you do not order a certain type of meal (with a cowboy beside it). What are you supposed to do, just let them take the chips and salsa back after you have already started on them? Will they throw them away like they should (wasting the food) or do they reuse the items for someone else’s table? A really sneaky/sketchy way of doing business! We ordered our ala carte items (burrito with chili), which were over $7 apiece for a very small burrito. Of course they charged us for the chips/white dip/salsa, which made our whole ticket nearly $22. If we would have ordered the meal, it would have been an outrageous (for our area) nearly $14 apiece. This is the only Mexican establishment I know of in my area (Muskogee, Tahlequah, even Tulsa) that charges for chips/salsa. The others have all the free chips/salsa you want no matter what you buy and the meals are MUCH cheaper (under $11) also, along with the ala carte items. A family member of mine also informed me that if you order takeout, they will only give you one small container of white dip/salsa, even if you order more than one meal. If you want more, they charge you for it. Anyway, I hope this review has helped let people know to be very careful when you eat here if you don’t want unexpected charges or if you don’t want to be ripped off. I and my Family decided to eat here after a long Saturday 8/27/2016 to be exact, we where seated was soon as we walked in, My Parents had ordered the double Enchilada plate while I ordered the Chimichanga Plate, while we waited for our food to arrive we were served chips and Salsa w/ some of the best White Sauce I have ever had followed by our drinks, everything seemed to be going well until we got our food, my food was cold and unappetizing I took one bite and that was it, my mother was also upset that her food as well was cold and unappetizing, after asking our server (Who Smelled like the ass end of a cigarette to the point to where it made me gag so badly I rushed to the restroom) to re-heat our food multiple times, refill our drinks, and to please speak to the owner or a manager (who never came by the way) I was upset and still hungry, we paid the ridiculous amount of $30 for 2 meals and 3 waters, we left a tip for our server (Even though she didn't deserve one at all) and we proceeded to leave without barely touching our food, while I was leaving I was being eyeballed by 2 older people from across the dining area who possibly had ties with the owner / Manager (Or something of the sort) which made me want to never come back to this terrible establishment again, so listen to my warning and never go to this restaurant unless you want Crap food that's cold and un-edible , terrible service, and over all a crappy...
