La Ceiba Restaurant — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Sadly the service in this place is extremely poor and not professional. The lack of courtesy and understanding from the staff made us have a terrible experience. It seems that there is certain things that they do not really care on how to speak to you from a clients perspective. Zaira was extremely mean and loud when I asked about my food even though an hour had already passed, but it wasn’t only my case! I was there to witness a few people leaving upset because she doesn’t have a courteous way to speak. On the other hand Paola being a non -Hondurian native, did everything in her power to fix and went over and beyond to make us feel welcomed. In my opinion she is the only one that shows education and politeness towards customers. They all should be trained to handle busy times more productively and on top of them being extremely under staff. Despite all of this unfortunately ruining the experience the food was wonderful. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful — the Honduran décor is stunning and truly makes you feel immersed in the culture, We loved the open kitchen concept pretty demure. That alone deserves 5 stars.

The food was incredible! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. Honestly, the taste was unforgettable.

Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We were barely checked on throughout our meal, and it felt like the staff was either overwhelmed or simply inattentive. Despite the poor service, we still left a 25% tip out of courtesy — but there’s definitely room for improvement in how customers are treated. Service gets 1 star from us.

If they can work on training their servers, this place could easily be a top-tier...

Food is amazing, but waiting time for food is crazy,, the first time at this place i have to wait for almost an hour to get my food. The second time I called a head of time so they can start preparing my food , cuz with kids you can't wait so much time in restaurant. Once I got to the restaurant, I still gotta wait 20 more minutes sitting in table, they didn't offer me chips to me since I ordered my food through the phone and Not while I was sitting on the table.. thats something funny.. if someone is gonna eat in restaurant....you still have to buy drinks , and obviously leave server tips, but I guess they dont take it that way...OVERALL great food,,,, really bad service, and just be...
