This place is extremely unique and has some of the best coffee I’ve had. My go to regardless of the coffee shop is a regular cappuccino, and the regular cappuccino here is top shelf, trust me. Love the distinct flavor.
Parking situation is easy, there’s a lot of empty spots on the street, especially behind the place by that older style clothing store on the block.
The inside dining area is broken up into 2 sections: a more cozy type of “lounge” seating section next to their gift shop / ordering counter, and a much bigger seating area on the side of the place, that is 2 stories! A lot of different people come here, ranging in age and “hipsterness”, although everytime I come here it’s packed with students. Regardless, don’t feel shy sitting inside, it’s really cozy.
Gift shop is awesome and filled with all these weird little trinkets, gadgets, gag gifts and a healthy dose of those Idaho specific stickers, key chains, pictures, etc (you know, those “I

On 2.11.25, we had made reservations with another local mom/pop shop that had forgotten we were going to arrive during normally closed business hours. This was going to be a tea/valentine's day celebration. She ended up calling to re-arrange, but at the time we had already gone to Flying M around 11:30 AM. A group member suggested Flying M because she had been a customer previously. When we arrived at Flying M, we had each ordered food/drinks for our group (4 adults + 5 children). We also had a tray of gluten free muffins that we had brought with us inside. Then, we all headed upstairs to have our snacks. At one point, a woman came partly up the stairs and glared at our children then, walked back down the stairs. The adults in our group noticed the glare and we discussed how we didn't know why she would do that. We wondered if she was a customer or an employee. About 10 minutes later a gentleman came up letting us know that our footsteps and voices were echoing loudly in the building asking us to have the kids be quieter. While we were in the middle of getting things wrapped up, approx. 2 minutes after the gentleman came up, the same lady that glared at us came back upstairs. She told us that we need to be mindful of the customers below and that they are studying. She requested to have our children stay seated. She also said that there is no outside food allowed (referring to our gluten free muffins). We said we would try our hardest to keep our toddlers seated, but that it is difficult. Essentially the conversation ended and we left shortly afterwards at 12 PM. Before leaving, we asked one of the baristas at the counter if there was a complaint about us. He said no and he also identified the woman who glared and talked...

Other then that it was a strong cup of espresso water that takes the energy of a nuclear reactor to brew and lots of steam. I'm Off to the old crummy to hit the corduroy roads with my grandpa's old saw to do some real forest conservation. Serving a eviction notice to that squatting bark Beatle and burning their children . gawd I need a emissions free chainsaw and a therapist to learn positive coping skills in dealing with the cognitive dissonance in my piers "millennials" . knowledge without wisdom is the seed of ignorance. I'm pretty sure it says that in the book of genesis in context . lol. All jokes aside great service good coffee. I think if flying m slapped a steam turbine and a traction motor in their espresso machine and made their table tops out of super capacitors they could probably provide energy for all of idaho 24/7 . Newtons cradle...
