Café De Coco — Restaurant in Nampa

We had a large family gathering about 15. When we 1st arrived there were 2 waitresses getting drinks. After we were served our drinks 1 of the waitress disappeared. We had a little wait. Waiting for a surprise guest. We still had the 1 waitress. She took our food order refined our drinks ect. When out food order came the 1 waitress had a little help a woman with straight dark hair brought out 2 plates An then disappeared. We were back to the 1 waitress. Who did a wonderful job. With as little help as she received from co-workers. The table I was at left the waitress 80. And I know others left tips too. I'm sure close to 100. As we were leaving the waitress with straight dark hair busted her butt to get into the area we were sitting in. Something told me to go back an make sure our waitress got her tips. I asked her, an the lady with dark hair assured me she got her tips. I knew from the clueless look on our waitress face. She had no idea what I was talking about. As my family was checking out I went back an informed our waitress that we left a $80. Tip. She had no idea. So if your eating at this place an you love your waitress hand it to them directly. Or their co-worker or boss...

This place is amazing. Yes, it is like Grandma's house. I absolutely loved my grandma's house and enjoyed every bit of feeling like I'd stepped back in time.

The food was fabulous. I had the French Dip. My table mate and friend had the quiche, and yes, I had a bite. The soup was tried. The crunchy chicken on a crossiant was ordered and devoured. The lemon cake was had a tried, oh yum. I got a cinnamon roll to go, which, by the way, 6 of us had a taste, and of course, I need another 1. We had 14 ladies with no complaints.

With 14 ladies, this place was amazingly efficient. We had 1 waitress, and I'm so sorry I didn't ask her name to say thank you for such incredible service. We will definitely be going back!!!

Update 11/2/2024 Fabulous as always. 4 of us this time tried 3 different teas all, so good. Ginger Peach, Huckleberry, and another. I had the potato soup and Asian salad, my friend had the chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, another friend had the Ceasar wrap, and my daughter had a gluten-free sandwich and salad. My friend also got the scoop of gelato with a shot of espresso. Wow. Amazing. The service is always wonderful. We will...

I have never been here before and my friend told me they had chicken and wild rice for their soup today. I love chicken and wild rice! So I figured why not.

It's decorated so beautifully and has cute old time music playing. The turkey focaccia bread sandwich with cranberry cream cheese sauce was so good! The rosemary on the focaccia really sealed the deal for me 😂 The hot cocoa had sprinkled cinnamon on top and came out in a whimsical mug and lots of whipped cream! The soup was just like I like it!

Then I decided to get dessert and I ordered the lemon cream cheese cake with lemon curd and whipped cream. My 1st bite brought back all the memories of my mom making a very similar lemon cake! It made me cry!! 😭 I have never had anything else make me cry like that over my mom! It got me so very emotional! Everything about it reminded me of her. 💗 I'm just sitting in my car now trying to stop crying so I can drive.
