I am writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience with Papa Murphy’s service. On May 4, 2024, I placed an order for pizza delivery via Door Dash and received an email confirmation. I have done this multiple times with no problem Unfortunately; I encountered a significant issue that has left me dissatisfied with the level of service provided. Raul and Neveah at the Caldwell Papa Murphy’s location should not be in the service industry as far as I am concerned.
Despite waiting for the allotted delivery time, my pizzas did not arrive as expected (from Door Dash). I ordered two medium pizzas, 2L Pepsi and some of the cream cheese spread. The Door Dash driver only brought me my Pepsi and the cream cheese spread, which makes no sense to me. The Door Dash driver would not take responsibility and Alexandra the Door Dash driver just walked away.
Seeking assistance, I contacted the restaurant directly, hoping to resolve the issue and receive my order or at least receive some kind of help. However, to my dismay, the staff at the restaurant were unhelpful and offered no solutions or support in resolving the situation. Neveah (who is not a supervisor), advised the pizzas were still there; I was very agitated at this point I will admit. I told Neveah I would drive to the other side of town and get the pizza myself, but asked for refund, or some kind of compensation for my trouble, time, and gas to driver over there. Neveah said no, so I asked for her manager. Neveah told me she would call her manager; but would not give me his name because that is private information. Neveah put me on hold and called her manager who also said there was nothing he could do. I asked her to have her manager call me. Raul called me a few minutes later and was so rude and inconsiderate. Raul told me it was not his problem; it was a Door Dash problem and there was nothing he could do. A manager, at least in my world, problem solves and put the customer first no matter what.
I was so upset and discouraged at this point; I hung up on him. Raul called me back and said that I could go pick up the pizzas, but I was to not act inappropriate or use foul language, as if I am a child. I was taken back by this comment; Raul does not know me. So again, I was extremely frustrated with Raul, who advised I can no longer get my pizza and he would not be able to refund me for four days. I asked for Raul’s district managers information, but he told me it is private. What kind of business is this? This is the place my frustration and agitation were coming from. The only thing Raul and Neveah would say is not their problem and they were both so smug and condescending about it. I have worked in the service industry and would have never treated a customer this way because that is what you do when you are in a position with customer service.
I did also place a call to the Door Dash customer service line. Kim (customer service representative) told me she could not refund me directly because I placed the order through Papa Murphy’s website. Kim called the restaurant and spoke with a Michael, who told Kim he must get his manager to approve, even though Door Dash had already reimbursed Papa Murphy’s.
As a loyal customer of Papa Murphy’s, I am deeply disappointed by this lack of responsiveness and customer care. Not only was my order mishandled, but the subsequent lack of assistance compounded my frustration. I did take matters into my own hands and found the district manager on Google. I have left her a message, as well as the corporate office. I am hoping for a prompt investigation into this matter to determine what went wrong with my order and why there was no assistance provided when I sought help. Read moreWhile I have absolutely no complaints about the Pizza, it’s the store’s staff that have been problematic not once, but two separate times, and it involves the same people both times. The first time was back in December. I ordered the Pizza online and came to pay for it. The young Man (who is still currently working there, and was there for the second incident) was not able to work the register for some reason. I went to pay and he was not able to pull the correct total up. Five separate times they came up with the incorrect order, and every single time he just looked at me like he had no responsibility in the messing up the total. It took three different workers, and a long forming line behind me to get it right.
The second incident happened on 4/13/2024. Once again, I ordered the Pizzas online, and I went to pay for them. There were four employees behind the Counter. Two were making Pizzas, the same young Man was there, as well as a young Girl at the register counting the change. She told me she would be right with me as she slowly drops each coin into the slots one at a time. The young Man showed up, I told him my name so I could pay, he just looks at me with that same blank expressionless stare and walks away into the back without saying anything.
After about five minutes, I began to get upset as I’m just standing there with cash and no assistance, and once again, a line of numerous people is forming behind me, the two female workers are just standing there making Pizza and the young girl is still slowly counting the Register’s change, when I finally ask if someone will help me, the two employees making the Pizzas just look up at me and say and do absolutely nothing, the young man in the back didn’t respond, the girl counting the change did in a barely audible tone, and continues to take her sweet time slowly putting coins into the slots.
Nobody stepped up, despite knowing multiple people needed assistance, nobody showed an ounce of emotion or volunteered to help. They all just continued to do whatever it was they were doing like Zombies or machines. I’m very disappointed and frustrated with these employees, they are not capable of doing their jobs, they are not professionals, they are very inept when it comes to basic Customer curtesy, and they are very rude and cold to everyone who is trying to give them their hard-earned Money and support the establishment. Read moreI have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand had a fantastic experience with a gal who offered to fix my pumpkin pizza around halloween time. She was absolutely phenomenal!! She was the only reason I came there last night instead of going to Caldwell which is closer. Last night they did not have my side which was fine no biggie I get it and they replaced it. Later went home exhausted from work my daughter cooked the pizza went to get a piece and it was not at all what I ordered. So i called as soon as I noticed and the gal was totally sorry and said I could come back tomorrow and get my correct pizza. So still totally satisfied. I get it mistakes happen. Then call today to see if I had to call ahead of time and was told by RAUL that that is not their store policy but that he would honor it. From this time forward that I would only get a $3 off of a pizza. First of all he was super rude and 2nd it was NOT what I ordered so why would I only get $3 off?! Had I not been exhausted from working all day long I would of went last night. This guy has absolutely zero customer service skills and yeah RAUL I don't make a point of trying to rip off pizza places. The other 2 girls were super amazing this guy totally rude!! If your store made a mistake you fix it not give me a $3 coupon. How is that fixing your mistake?! This is not how u keep customers this is how u lose them. So i spend $39 and then have to spend another just to get one order right....
