Came through drive through ordering the $5 boxes... (Being my first time visiting this seemed like a good deal! ) and a side of the Mac and cheese. I wanted Cajun rice as two sides... The lady taking the order started, " we don't have any of that". I asked how long it would take to make, and she replied " won't be happening tonight we are very busy.". So I asked if the rice and beans were runny and her reply was "well, that is the way we make them". I processed to get to the window and paid & was asked to move forward as I watched the two cars ahead of me get parked add well. After waiting 20 minutes, I decided I would just walk in to save them a trip from having bring my order out.... HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! THE INSIDE WAS FILTHY! GARBAGES OVER FLOWING, FOOD AND TRASH ON ALMOST EVERY TABLE....😨 As I approached the counter I was greeted with the worst "What did you need,?"... I explained to the so called "manager" that I was just wanting my food. She was able to come back very abruptly, " this isn't my problem were are under staffed"... Wow! How professional was that. As I waited for my food to even get boxed up, the "manager" was microwaving Mac& cheese. The young man at the front counter was cleaning up the area below the warmer by putting chicken back in the warmer after it had been sitting the dirty counter. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!!! (Isn't it mandatory to have a good handlers card if one is working with food?) It was very obvious that this ",kid" wasn't trained appropriately. The"manager" was speaking to the kid at the drive through like he was some sort of ,"slave" throwing her head set at him telling him , " Stop taking orders! You need to help us box these orders up. I was able to see for people working on there. Why was this place in such turmoil? & Why is it OK for this"manager," to talk to these kids as though they were no better than the old chicken stupid that were on the floor for who knows how long, getting kicked and stepped on over and over... Finally after a total of ,34 minutes I was served my food. I looked fast at the boxes not realizing that there was no side of Mac and cheese. So had to COME back to get that side order. At the front counter an elderly lady who had to be at least 80 explaining that her order was given to the person in front of her and all she wanted was her food. (, This lady was quite upset, add she was shaking...) The " manager" stood there and was arguing with this lady... The elder lady just said I would just like my food. Then the ,"manager" looked at me and said ",Now what?". I told her i didn't get the side of Mac and cheese. She made me go get my receipt to show her that I had ordered.... I did and yep the Mac and cheese under the warmer and was handed to me with a sly reply of ,"Not sure how that got there". Took the food home to find out our chicken was all spicy. Not what i ordered nor could I give the to toddler!!!! RAMEN NOODLES NEVER TASTED SO GOOD... AS EVERYTHING WENT TO THE GARBAGE WHERE IT BELONGED!!!!! FOOD INSPECTOR WOULD HAVE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN... If I was the worker being talked to in that manner as these kids were... I would have walked out! NO BODY DESERVES TO BE TALKED TO THIS DISRESPECTFULLY! I WOULDN'T ALLOW MY TEENAGER TO WORK IN SUCH FILTH AND HORRIBLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. THIS WAS A HUGE EPIC FAIL ALL AROUND!!! SHAME ON YOU POPEYES FOR WANTING YOUR STORE TO BE RAN SO POORLY, AND SUCH FILTH! YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO EVEN BE OPENED! !!! IT'S TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE AND GET A MANAGER WHO WILL WORK AND TREAT THESE CO WORKERS WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY, AFTER ALL THESE KIDS ARE just there temporary until they get to college and move forward in their career... THIS WAS ALL AROUND -10👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 I WOULD STeer CLEAR of this place unless you want food poisoning, or Mac & cheese that was frozen half warm.... HORRIBLE...
Read moreI thought I’d give this location another chance to pull it together and I had a coupon from trying the app. The food was really good, the fries were a little soggy though, but the rest was good. I never understand why people say the wait is long since I’ve never waited longer than 3 minutes there, but this last visit I saw why. When I pulled into the drive thru to order the 14 piece family meal with the coupon. The person on the speaker asked if I wanted Cajun rice or Cajun fries as the side, I said fries. They asked the question of “so, you wanted Cajun rice, correct?” I told them “no, I said Cajun fries, not rice, like French fries.” That was only the beginning of the hiccups we were going to have on this trip. So they asked about if I wanted spicy or mild or the half and half, I ordered half and half, but wanted the spicy chicken to be dark meat only, they repeated the order back and I made sure it was correct. After it took about 10 minutes to do that, I get to the window. They repeat it to me again and tell me the total. I gave them the card to run and another 10 minutes goes by, I still don’t have my food or my card back. The cashier ran my card about 5-7 times and calling over the manager, who moved them to the side and ran the card again and it finally goes through, they hand me the food and off I went after close to 30 minutes later. I get home with the order and the spicy chicken had mostly white meat and it wasn’t even big pieces. I don’t like being a Karen, but that wait was ridiculous. Read moreYou’d think when a restaurant charges you $0.25 - $0.75 PER 0.9oz sauce cup (after the “generous” 5 they give you for 14 tenders) maybe, just maybe they’d give you the correct sauce. and listen - do I understand how utterly ridiculous it is to sit here and complain about sauces? I do. However, I wouldn’t be writing this review had I not had the TERRIBLE customer service experience after the fact. I called to ask if they were out of the sauces I ordered (I ordered for delivery, so I was going to drive there for the right ones) the lady kept interrupting me to say she couldn’t hear me (that’s fine) she asked for the name on the order then puts me on hold without telling me. She then comes back & asks me why i’m calling and I ask again if they are out of what I ordered. She rudely mumbled no, so I gave her the same exact energy she gave me from the beginning of the call and commented on the fact that its just a bummer to deal with this every single time - especially with them charging for extra sauce. she says “it’s just sauce calm down and grow up” and hangs up.
I understand that it’s just sauce, with having ARFID (i have safe foods - and very unfortunately i will only eat specific foods, a specific way. i don’t like or love it - but it is just the way i am) having this disorder makes things more difficult for me as is - so to be rudely dismissed because I didn’t get what I ordered and paid for - sucks.
