Fiesta Guadalajara — Restaurant in Nampa

TLDR: Not kid-friendly, food was very low-quality/bland, the waitstaff was pleasant, but spread too thin.

We were excited since we'd enjoyed food at a restaurant with the same name in Ontario, OR, but this place couldn't hold a candle to that establishment.

The table was falling apart and plates teetered on the uneven surface. The booster chair kept tipping forward, and my daughter almost fell out multiple times, finally giving up and asking to get out. But the worst was when I had to do an emergency diaper change in the small bathroom with no changing station and a teensy counter (I had my plastic cover and wiped it down with soap after, but it still grossed me out because I am certain I wasn't the first to have to resort to doing that). My daughter was so uncomfortable with her legs hanging off the counter and head hitting the old soap dispensers. (In all fairness, the OR bathroom was even smaller, so we were just lucky to not need to do a change)

The food was bland (except the salsa, omg, cilantro much?). I know the prices are higher now, but $8 for a single taco with barely any meat?! I've had better food in a microwave dinner.

The service was incredibly slow for everything, and while the waitstaff were all very nice, drinks were unfilled, it took too long to order, food was cold, and I eventually gave up waiting for them to take my card at the table and walked to the (empty) front counter.

We may give the Caldwell location a try since it appears to be franchise and not have the same food at each place, but we will definitely not be returning to this...

I am absolutely FURIOUS at the Nampa, ID location. I placed a pickup order and when I went to pick up my food, she asked me if I wanted my change back. I told her yes I did and upon arriving at home, I saw I was charged a tip of $4.03. Not only did I place a pickup order to NOT have to pay a tip, but they lied to me and snuck in the tip anyways. On top of that, we temped our food and it was only 90°F (we live 5 minutes away so there's no way temp would drop that fast). I called the store and spoke with Leticia and when I voiced my concerns she responded with "so are you wanting your money back or something"? I informed her I wanted it back, as I specifically told her I wanted my change. She puts me on hold for a few minutes and asks me if I could pick up my refund tomorrow. I then asked if I picked up tomorrow vs tonight, would there be any issues. She then responds with "well OBVIOUSLY if I'm telling you that you can pick up your money, then no". I am completely appalled at this woman. So I repeated "obviously?!" And she began giving me more rude comments. I asked for her managers name and she mumbled it unclearly for me. I had to ask her 3x before she then shouts, "MANUEL HIS NAME IS MANUEL". I asked when he would be in tomorrow and she refused to tell me. The audacity of those person is unreal. We walked in and waited for at least 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by anyone who worked there. When a young waitress walked by with dishes in her hand and said she’d be right with us. From our vantage point there was maybe 4 tables with people seated, so the restaurant was virtually empty. She seated us and the first thing out of her mouth once we were seated was “our kitchen closes in 45 minutes”, nothing friendly at all. She seemed extremely imposed upon. Ok we weren’t planning on being there long anyway. Just grab a quick bite. She asked us what we wanted to drink, and never came back. A few minutes later someone dropped off chips, salsa, and a bowl of refried beans that looked like they’d been sitting around in the bowl for a while, and then he quickly left. Several minutes later a different guy walked by, and as an after thought looked apologetically at us and asked if our drink orders had been taken. We told him again what we wanted and asked if we could just order our food. 15 minutes after we’d been seated, no drinks, no food. And both of those people had walked by, glanced at us, and kept walking. No acknowledgement, no “I’ll be right there”. We got up and left.
