Sarah's Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Nampa

Very poor customer service this morning. 1st and last time we'll visit this place - we placed our order of 2 bagels - noone said anything to us so we sat down & waited for our bagels - we noticed that 2 people after us got their orders & left - after 20 minutes we asked about ours - everyone behind the counter looked confused (which was at least 3 girls and a gentleman, of whom I was thinking was the manager) - our order was never started -- we ended up leaving & calling the manager afterwards - the manager was very arrogant with me - he said "our policy is: you place your order, pay, then we make your bagel" - I advised him that it was our 1st time there and NOONE advised us to go pay after placing our order - all the girls were doing was talking about school & taking tests - he said "we we're very busy in here" - I advised him that when we placed our order, they were not busy at all - he kept reiterating his policy of placing the order, paying, then get food -- but I was try to explain that it was our 1st time there so sonesom should've advised us to go to the next counter and pay - I asked him straight up " how is a 1st time customer suppisesto know the process" -- all he kept saying "that's our policy" -- he said "if you guys would be waited 10 more minutes, we could've had your food done" - I advised him that we had already waited 20 minutes & you wanted us to wait another 10 minutes because your girls were too busy talking about school instead of...

The food is delicious, and there's plenty of selection between various beverages, bagels, breakfast bagel sandwiches, and lunch bagel sandwiches. The woman who received my order and gave me my order was very friendly. So if good food and good treatment is what you want that's great. I had to ding a star just because things were pretty disorganized and messy. It's not a very clean place. It's not very well organized, neither among the dining area nor behind the counter. There's very little effort to decorate and give the place a sense of charm, or that effort got hidden by the chaos of things being stored haphazardly. More importantly, service was really slow. The workers, who were not very nice to each other, are doing too much in a very confined space. I just wanted a bagel sandwich and a coffee and I ended up standing for at least 10 minutes with only one or two customers receiving their orders before me. Also, for an Americano iced coffee, I received it in a cup with one of those dessert cup lids for no reason and so the straw hole is wide open. The coffee tasted good, though. Regarding my bagel sandwich, while it was delicious, they wrapped it in thin paper that ended up binding to the sandwich and if I had waited any longer I would be eating paper. My daughter who is Autistic and her community support worker entered your establishment at around 12:50 on Thursday the 12th 2021 and they felt very uncomfortable , staff made them feel like they wrte not excepted in your bagel Cafe, the boy at the counter seemed to be polite, but my daughter came home upset , she had a panic attack apon leaving , they brought home the two turkey sand.one croissant and one bagel and 3/4of a bagel with cream cheese i tasted every sandwich and they were awful, my CSW also asked for her receipt and was not given one , they are both upset and I'm angry , when I called the Asian woman on the phone would not even empathize with us she acted as if she could not be bothered with our complaint she said that there was nothing wrong with the sandwiches she made ,I will make sure to let everyone that I know that your bage place l isn't where you want to go to eat and feel comfortable 😌 very disappointed the food wasn't flavorful at all ,it was not edible, I have cooked for many years and I would never have served that meal at all and the attitude if the Asian was inexcusable.
