I use to love this place but ever since they’ve moved to a mobile food truck the service and food have drastically decreased. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking there was some hiccups with having a new location. First off, this place is terrible at communicating, their hours are inconsistent and so is their locations (and this isn’t the first case either, at their old location their hours aren’t even correct on google maps). I drove around for an hour one day trying to find the location after I was told random crossroads, not even an actual location. Then a different day they had also told us they would be in Meridian and then I drove out and they were in nampa. Also the quality of food and the taste is different almost every other day, I’m not really sure what’s the issue with this either. One day I’m hyping this place up to friends and the next the taste is way off, dry chicken and clearly their salsa was stored in the same old container because there was crusted salsa spilled everywhere. Also their salsas have never had any taste, the green salsa they claim as salsa de aguacate is actually made from cucumbers. Also weird thing is I ordered a burrito and it didn’t have any rice and beans and my second burrito only had rice and beans on have of it. I will definitely be looking for a different place to get food from. So freaking...
Read moreWhere is the line blurry between high end dining and well done, clean, honest food with layers of focused technique and flavor? Is it the napkins? The building? The wait staff? Ladies and gentlemen if you are looking for a very well run, friendly dining option that flat out brings the big fresh flavors of Mexico….this is it!
Is this the best street taco I’ve ever eaten. Very well could be! This place is not messing around. Sure…I was very hungry but there is no denying the deep flavors and textures that I experienced at this humble little stand. I had the El Pastor tacos….4….massive tacos. They are not the $1 uninspired tacos that are more tortilla than taco. These are massive! Loaded with carmelized marinated pork, carmelized onions, carmelized pineapple, carmelized jalapeños all wrapped in a fresh tortilla. Unreal.
The service was very friendly and welcoming. I believe that we spoke with the owner who was so excited to have us try her food.
Seriously. I love Mexican food. I have eaten it all over California, Mexico etc….make no mistake…this was one of the best that I have ever had.
Skip the flash of the overpriced sit down restaurant…its affordable, unbelievable ….this little eatery is absolutely worth...
