To start, the man who took my order was very… strange… refused to speak to me in Spanish even though I was speaking to him in Spanish throughout our whole conversation. I found it incredibly odd since this is supposedly a Mexican ice cream shop. I ordered an agua fresca de fresa and was beyond disappointed. First of all, just by looking at it I could tell that it was not made in house.. and no, mixing premade red strawberry powder and putting strawberry pieces in it doesn’t count as made in house, sorry. I visited on the first day for their soft opening and was impressed by the gorgeous interior and the cheerful staff. The girl who helped me explained the options and let me sample flavors. I got a mango agua fresca (so delicious!), hot vaso de elote, nachos, and a strawberry raspado. The corn was so delicious and it was a very generous portion, so I ended up saving half for later. Been yearning to try this place out for a while since they had opened a while back yet all of the long lines kinda made me a bit wary...until today. Finally went back and there was virtually no line.
