I bought a small tray of Chicken biryani for $65 and they sold me STALE and COLD food that was made 3+ days ago and it was not fresh. When I took it home and ate one serving, it was so bad and stale I could not enjoy it. The next day, I tried to eat another serving but it was already smelling bad. In the evening, I could not eat it because it went really bad. The following day, the whole tray of biryani became sticky, gummy and rotten and I had to throw it away. I stored the tray in the refrigerator with the highest setting all the time. When I called them to complain, they did not take any responsibility and claimed it was fresh. They know what they sold a day ago but they don't admit it and think they can get away with it.
The biryani was good only to be thrown in the GARBAGE but they still sold it to me for $65. If I took this tray to a party, NOBODY would eat it - not even a dog! People don't eat bad food in the US - not even homeless beggars. But these people are selling stale food charging $65 and making us eat bad food and taking no responsibility if we complain. The sole responsibility of any restaurant is to provide FRESH food for the money charged but these people are greedy to make money, lazy to prepare fresh food, "unethical" in their practices and don't even understand the BASIC principles and ethics of doing business.
This is not the first time they sold me stale biryani and this has also happened as recently as a month ago. Last week, they mixed butter chicken in chicken biryani (because they did not have regular chicken) and 2 weeks ago, they put too much oil in the biryani tray which dripped on my arms and clothes and leaked all over my car seat that I had to clean for 20 minutes and my car still smells like biryani even after 2 weeks!
If I go to McDonalds and order an item everyday for 100 days, I'll get the exact same item every single time with the same quality and freshness. But the quality of food and consistency at this place is unpredictable every time. Consider yourself lucky if you get fresh food when you place a take out order at this restaurant. Indian food is not cheap for what they charge greedily but at the very least, it needs to be FRESH when it is sold at such high prices but they are not honest in their business which is pathetic. They cook biryani just TWICE a week and sell it all week long. I know exactly what fresh biryani is and what stale food is. The food is over-priced at this place for its stale quality - NO one would take stale food even for free.
Why should an employee of a restaurant sell bad food and then defend the restaurant if there is a complaint? They would get paid the same salary whether they do any business or not right?
I'm done with this restaurant and...
Read moreCuisine of India is a hidden gem for anyone looking to experience the best of Indian cuisine. Having dined here three times now, each visit has left me more impressed than the last. The food quality is simply top-notch, featuring bold, authentic flavors that transport you straight to India. I’ve tried several of their dishes, but their Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Tikka are especially notable, with a perfect balance of spices and that classic smoky flavor from the tandoor.
The highlight of my meals, though, has to be the Special Chef's Dinner—a complete feast for the senses! The dinner includes a wonderful selection of tandoori items: the Lamb Seekh Kebab, Chicken Tandoori, Fish, and Prawns. The prawns were truly exceptional—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. While I would have loved for the lamb kebab to be a tad juicier, it still carried an amazing taste that paired perfectly with the rest of the dish. The dinner spread also includes Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, a comforting Peas Pulao, and a fresh salad. Each element of the dinner is thoughtfully prepared and complements the others, making it a complete and satisfying meal.
The ambience is another reason this place stands out. The lighting and decor create a warm, inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. It’s intimate without being overdone, making it perfect for both casual outings and special dinners.
One of the standout aspects of dining at Cuisine of India is the exceptional service. Hosts Binny and Maxwell go above and beyond to ensure that each guest has a memorable experience. Their attentive, personalized service makes you feel genuinely welcomed. They frequently check in to ensure everything is to your liking, and they’re more than willing to accommodate any special requests. This level of care makes a huge difference and adds a wonderful personal touch to the experience.
Overall, Cuisine of India is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Indian food. It offers a perfect mix of delicious cuisine, great ambience, and impeccable service. Whether you’re a fan of tandoori dishes or craving a full-course Indian meal, this restaurant delivers on every front. I highly recommend it and look forward to...
Read moreCuisine of India catered the food for our wedding events, and we were extremely happy with the food taste, quality, presentation, and service provided by Rahul and his team. We have very picky eaters in our family and the food was over the top and tasted excellent! In addition, Rahul handled food from the BAPS temple as well and were very happy. Rahul is a professional and knows what he is doing, we took his advice and changed some of our plans and could not have been happier. We did food tastings with all the major caterers in the Chicagoland area, and Rahul was the best and a genuinely nice person to work with. We wanted some foods altered for taste to our liking, and he was able to do that, and did it exactly how we wanted it. He takes lots of pride in his business and it definitely shows when they are catering for wedding events. All of our guests have complimented the food provided by Cuisine of India. Rahul, thank you so much for being a part of our wedding, we are glad we picked you and will definitely recommend all of our friends to cater with...
