DO NOY BUY A USED CAR OR HAVE SERVICE PERFORMED HERE. This is the dealership you were warned about â the one that gives a bad reputation to others. They do not properly inspect, repair or prepare the used cars. The decisions are seemingly made by the owner as to what cars to buy and what prep should be done and it seems thatâs done w/o the sales managers knowledge. Iâll summarize issues below and please note that I tried repeatedly to talk with the owner and GM to address. Neither took my calls or returned messages despite the sales mgr support. The sales mgr was extremely apologetic and has since quit as he was âtired of dealing with the BS of the new owner buying junk cars and not being willing to fix/maintain them properlyâ and âthe constant onslaught of customer complaintsâ among many other blunt statements. He shared story after story of customers buying used luxury cars and learning that they had not been inspected or serviced as promised. Anyway, hereâs my experience. I contacted the dealership about a car they advertised. The car was purchased at auction and in transit. They did not have photos, but it was thoroughly described to me. Once the car arrived, the condition and specs were reiterated to be as described and I was told the car was being inspected and serviced and that as a luxury car dealer, they didnât cut corners (pre-sale inspection, including oil and filter change + any repairs). Upon completion of the inspection, I was told there were no issues outside of tires and brakes and that both would be replaced with new OEM parts. I asked very specific questions about the inspection as the car is a high end performance vehicle. We discussed Audi and Porsche pre-sale inspections and I was assured they had the same process. I planned a trip from St. Louis to Chicago a week in advance. The car was to be ready to go upon my arrival. It was not. It was a couple of hours before I could even see the car and at that point, the sales manager and I realized there were issues above and beyond standard wear. There was significant paint damage to the rear tailgate and bumper There was only one key fob. Key fobs are $980 for the car Brakes (rotors and pads) had been replaced, but they were not OEM and service/parts had no information to verify the brand/model. Tires had been replaced, but they were not OEM spec and far from performance tires (2 rating classes below) . Despite the issues, I moved forward because I genuinely liked the sales mgr, I had traveled from St. Louis, and we were able to come to an agreement on a cost reduction to cover the damage repair and key. I was willing to live with the tires. After over 6 hours at the dealership (car prep was never completed as promised â clay bar, paint correction, etc. and the pw took hours as the GM at the time didnât seem to have a grasp on things - he was let go the same week), I drove the car home. On the drive home, I got TPMS and rear taillight fault warnings. Three of tires were overinflated by 6-10 PSI and one was 4 PSI too low. Taillight had stopped working. I made an appt at my local dealer and they did a full inspection as well (w/video). Rear Taillight Assembly had been replaced with a salvage part and the board was faulty. Front motor mounts leaking fluid Lower control arm bushings leaking TPMS/tires were found to be fine, but it was obvious the tires were used and not new. They measured 6/32 and 7/32 and were worn differently. Thatâs not even close to the entire story. There was a sales tax issues and more, but the main objective here is to make others aware that the condition of a used vehicle at this dealer cannot be trusted. Trusting others is already challenging and when someone breaks that trust and then wonât take any sort of responsibility, thatâs a telltale sign of their character. There are, of course, good and trustworthy people working there. The problem is ownership and management. Gibran and Paul, you are still welcome to...
Read moreUpdate: My check engine light continued to come on with an engine misfire code. I took it back to them and they told me there was a bulletin and they would take the steps to fix. They said the coils and spark plugs were fine, they did a fuel injection cleaning and the light went off for about 3 weeks. After 3 weeks the light came on again same code and before I could get an appointment with Maserati, I made an appointment with the Audi dealership and had them complete a diagnostic and an inspection on the car to find out that the 3rd cylinder is completely damaged and I need a new engine.
I tried to call and I asked for James as he was the manager who helped me previously and the lady kept trying to get me to talk to somebody named Marty. She then said oh James is in a meeting. I left my name and number. I am hoping to hear from him soon to resolve this issue as I have had this car for 3 months today and apparently I was sold a lemon. I purchased my 2019 Audi Q8 less than a month ago and I have had two issues. I was told my car passed inspection to be able to be sold. So there should be no issues. The salesperson Logan was nice but not very knowledgeable about the car.
The auto start/stop feature malfunctioned less than a week of driving off the lot. They told me to bring it back and they replaced the battery.
After getting the battery replaced the check engine light comes on. I take the car to get a diagnostic test done and I need a catalytic converter ($3,000). I call the dealership because how did this car pass inspection. John Hooker told me that Audi has a catalytic converter warranty and I can take it to an Audi dealership and they will fix it. I call the Audi dealership and they tell me that my car was manufactured in Canada not the US so they canât do any warranty work. I did not know my car was manufactured in Canada when I bought it. That information was not relayed to me. I have been calling the dealership and I continuously get transferred to the voicemail. I have even sent an email with no response.
I understand I bought a used car but to have this many issues in less than a month when I was told the car passed inspection to be sold is crazy. I thought I was buying from a reputable dealership. Saying Iâm disappointed is an...
Read moreI worked with Mario in service a few months back. I brought in my boyfriendâs Alfa (that is technically now my car) in to be serviced as he was ill and unable to go. Typically my bf always deals with taking our cars to the dealer as I am not very educated in cars and he wants to protect me from being taken advantage of. Mario was excessively flirtatious and made me quite uncomfortable, as he continuously made comments on my physical appearance and what I was wearing which made it quite clear he was checking out my body. He mentioned that I looked âvery good.â Mario had helped set up the appointment initially over the phone as well as check in the car when I brought it in for my bf who had gotten Covid. Mario originally quoted me almost $800 for all of the ânecessaryâ services. He insisted the car needed all of the fluid exchanges/flushes and other odds & ends preformed as part of routine maintenance despite me pleading that I didnât want certain services done. I felt very pressured by him. And his overall vibe felt dishonest, fake, and untrustworthy. Another service guy (I think his name was Michal) helped as well. No one called me to give me an update on my car after it sat there for TWO days. When I called, Michal answered and said that Mario was not there. He was quick to find me an answer but seemed overwhelmed and gave me short, annoyed responses to my questions. Seeing that I had intended on spending an awfully high amount of money, Mario should have made sure to communicate with me much better. I had ZERO communication from him. When I went in to pick up the car, Mario was there. He had no problem putting his hand on my back and rubbing it as he took me to follow him to find the car. He also rubbed my shoulders which made me so very uncomfortable. Turns out, my bill was almost $300 less than what Mario told me. Which makes me believe he was trying to make hundreds of dollars off of me. Not to mention the service garage is dirty, low maintenance, and there is no AC. The service dept is...
