UPDATE 4/8/24: 4.5 stars. My husband and I decided to give this place another shot today for lunch. Our service was much better, and our waitress, Sabrina, was very attentive. The manager also came by a couple times to make sure that we were being helped and that everything was going well. I have added some stars back due to this improvement in service. I hope our first time here was just a fluke! We will be back in the future I am sure. The food was still amazing, and I have added some photos!
PREVIOUS REVIEW: 2 stars. My fiancé and I ate here last weekend and were quite disappointed in the service. We came in around 11:40am and didn't leave until almost 2pm because service was so slow. When we arrived, it appeared that many tables were empty, yet we were told that there would be a 15 minute wait. We were fine with this, and assumed that perhaps staff was lower during the afternoons. Once we were seated, we waited maybe 20 minutes before the hostess came and asked us if anyone had taken our order yet. We told her no, and she quickly got us drinks, chips and dip, and put our order in. After that, the gentleman that (I think) was supposed to be our waiter came by and asked if we had been helped yet. We let him know that we had placed our food and drink order. Food was brought out by a couple of different people. The table next to us had finished their meal about the time we got our drinks, and the table was not cleared off, even by the time we had left. (Note that there were a couple of different workers walking around, not sure if they were serving tables on the other side of the building as well, but I did see some workers milling about). The next time we saw a server, we were done eating and needed the bill.
Now, the food was amazing! It was very good. I ordered steak tacos, and my fiancé ordered some other type of taco (basic meat tacos I believe). They were both very good. We also ordered the queso, and I had the "Swirl" drink, both were very good! The food itself was enough to give 2 stars, I just wish the service would've been better. We will be trying a different location in hopes that we can get good food AND...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews unless I have a bad experience. I’m usually an easygoing customer and I tip very well. Honestly, I still tipped today and I shouldn’t have. We sat at the bar as usual and it wasn’t very busy. Our server Jose gave us some recommendations for food, the dorado taco I believe, which was decent. After that, we wanted to order drinks but didn’t see him for a while so someone else came and made our drinks, said he was busy with a big party. Ok, no problem I totally get that. My issue was checking out and trying to split my check. I don’t like going to restaurants and feeling like I’m not being listened to. I noticed an option at the bottom of the screen that said cash and multiple cards. The first time I clicked it, it asked to swipe my card so instead of using apple pay, I went pull out my physical card. Jose told us “they updated the system and it’s all on one check, that’s why it’s not allowing you to split”. I stated I always split the check when I come here and I just saw/clicked an option that said multiple cards. So by the time I pulled my card out, the screen had cleared and I again chose the option with multiple cards. He came on the side of me, huff and puffed in my ear as if I was making his job difficult and goes “is it a chip? You have to insert it”. I said well the screen said to swipe so that’s what I’m doing as I had clicked the option for multiple cards. He inserts my card and then says “this option is for cash. Your not paying with cash”. I said the screen gave the option for cash and multiple cards and then took me to a login screen which is what I was trying to do…. He then got out of that screen and took me back to the first payment screen thus forcing me to pay the entire check on one card. I don’t appreciate saying something and it being completely ignored, twice. I believe he saw the look on my face as I was answering the feedback question and he came over multiple times asking if we were good.. By this point I was really pissed off and I honestly should not have left him a tip. I should’ve gave it to the guy who made our drinks because he literally saved our experience...
Read moreAte there last night with a friend. Food was fine, nothing special but nothing to complain about. The reason I give it two stars is because we got there around 9pm, the restaurant closes at 11, and there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant. We got sat right away but wait awhile for someone to come over and take our drink orders (took so long that we even already looked over the menu and picked what we wanted to eat). Once we got our food, our waitress did not come back to check on us. Instead she proceeded to move tables around that were in our section and sweet the floors and clean the tables (to get the restaurant prepared for the next day). We sat for a while waiting for her to come and ask us if we would like a box. After she got done cleaning she came right over to us, with out washing her hands or sanitizing (my friend found this extremely gross since she works in the health field and her mother works for the health department). When she asked if we wanted boxes she started picking up our plates and piling them on top of each other before we even got a chance to say yes or no. My friend needed a box, so she left to get a box. Upon bringing it to our table, she dropped the box off and left to continue to clean with out saying anything more to us. We sat and watched her clean and check the other servers sections and I joked about raising my hand in hopes she would call on me. She finally came back and says, "anything else?" While picking up more plates. Before we could say yes or no she put the checks down and walked away. I understand wanting to close your section and clean so you can leave at a decent time (I am a server myself) but it was only 10:30 when we had left. As a server I felt like she was rude and could have at least waited until the section was empty to start cleaning and moving tables around. It's not something a customer wants to see while they're eating. Especially with so much time left before the...
