Truly one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Ordered a burger for my 2 year old medium. Came underdone enough to soak the bun in blood. Would have been probably a medium-rare at best. Our other son got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly was applied VERY conservatively. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap with no onions. I received a chicken salad wrap with a liberal portion of red onions. Those were the things we were able to handle okay.
The lady that took our order was so rude. This was not a teenager or anything like that. Probably a 50 year old lady. It was like we were interfering with her day by trying to purchase food at the place she worked. My wife asked what soups they had. She pointed to the screen and said, it's right there. My wife asked if they had gluten free bread. She pointed to the sign and said, "no we're out". My wife asked if there was any other gluten free options. She said, "no". We were both ready to just leave at this point with how rude this lady was, but we had hungry kids and a flight to catch so we just kept going. My wife finally said, "okay I'll have a caesar salad with a piece of salmon". The lady said, "we don't have salmon". My wife pointed to the screen and said, "it's right there on the screen.". The lady looked, saw that it was up there, and annoyingly said "that's not supposed to be up there." I'm not sure if she saw how ironic that was. Alternatively, my wife got steak on top of the salad, expecting something like a strip sliced or cubed on top. When it came it was like someone dumped a philly cheese steak on top of some bagged lettuce. Definitely not a $20+ salad. When she finally took a bite of the salad, something was clearly wrong with the dressing. We've eaten plenty of homemade caesar salads with anchovies and also plenty of just bottled caesar dressings. This was just a caesar dressing that had gone bad.
Needless to say we will NEVER be returning to Food & Thought. Terrible service and...
Read moreDisappointed in What This Store Has Become
I’ve been shopping here for years, and it’s truly disappointing to see the decline in both quality and integrity. This used to be a place where you could find fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and hard-to-find supplements at reasonable prices. Sadly, that’s no longer the case.
On my most recent visit, I encountered spoiled produce and supplement prices that were shockingly inflated. I was hoping to purchase Lion’s Mane and Spirulina, but the markup was absurd. A small bag of Spirulina was priced at around $135 — which is incredibly excessive, especially considering that high-quality options are widely available for under $50. Yes, Spirulina is a superfood, but that doesn’t justify this kind of pricing. It feels exploitative, even to those who can afford it.
Beyond the products, the atmosphere has changed as well. The staff no longer seems welcoming, and the store now feels more like a cafeteria than a wellness market. It’s clear the focus has shifted away from quality groceries and health products.
It’s disappointing to watch a once-excellent store lose its original purpose and connection to...
Read moreThis is a small market that tries to establish itself by saying that its organic products are from farms, but it is very expensive and has very bad service, especially with older people, I do not recommend it. I had the misfortune that Camila attended the register when I went to pay, Camila threw the products inside the thermal bag as if they were bricks, not food, I insisted that she be careful, that it was food, not bricks, among the products I bought 3 different portions of cake, which Camila also abused, when I tried to accommodate the mess she made, she pushed my bag and proceeded to put another client's products on the counter, pushing me to leave. Given Camila's total lack of respect towards a potential client (this was my second purchase) and senior citizen, I move with some difficulty and slowness, I decided not to return again and I recommend that you do the same. Do not shop at Food & Thought 2132 9th Street North, Naples Fl. These markets are highly recommended: Trade Joe's Whole Food, Sprouts or Publix in those places they never mistreated me, that day it...
