Posh Plum Furniture Consignment — Local services in Naples

I have been a customer of the Naples location since 2013. I have spent thousands at this store since moving here. Customer service has been marginal, but today was the tipping point to which I will never go back.

I have been watching a piece of furniture since August. I took a picture of the pricing structure and waited until it was on final markdown. The final markdown price was $2880.00 in the month of October. Today, it was marked as "on sale". The "sale" price is now $2995.00. The original tag had a starting price of $3600 and ended at $2880. The "new" altered tag started at $4000.00 and ended at $3200.00.

The owners of this piece of furniture knew what the consignment agreement was when they first put the piece up for sale. Posh Plum claims that the owner raised the price and would not negotiate. However. Posh Plum should have held to the owner to the original agreement to maintain the integrity of the store for their consumers.

This is a very dishonest way of doing business. If they cannot be honest in maintaining a price tag on a piece of furniture over a 4 month period, what else are they "adjusting"? Are they just trying to take advantage of the seasonal visitors? Makes you wonder.

I am a permanent resident here in Naples and I assure you, I will NEVER refer Posh Plum to any of my associates and friends.

My wife and I have shopped at this Push Plum for 4 years. We've been able to furnish parts of our condo with high end items from this store such as a Tommy Bahama dining room table and chairs. Last week we purchased two couches and were helped by Eric and Anne. Eric approached us a few minutes after we walked into the store and offered his assistance. Once we found the items, we asked him to contact the seller with our offer. He immediately did that and told me that he had left a message with the seller. We left the store and a few minutes later Eric called and the seller had accepted the offer and we made the purchase over the phone. He and Anne got in touch with Move Me and arranged to have the two couches delivered to our condo. I was impressed by the customer service and we will continue to visit this Push Plum for future...

I was impressed with the showroom and Lori who took in my consignment of a very high end, 11 piece bedding ensemble. The original cost was $3650. We agreed to consign it for $995 on 3/2/16. On 3/23 I called to find out if it had sold. I had ... for $500! A mistake had been made but it all got sorted out within 24 hours. It is rare that people own their mistakes these days so I was impressed with their quick response to the problem. They will be sending me a check for the entire amount of the sale which would have been the my share of the sale had it sold for the $995. Essentially they got nothing.
