We walked into Jane's today, Mother's Day, and had a wonderful experience. We've been looking for a breakfast/brunch place in the area and this is it! Everything, right down to the china tea cup was elegant and special. The food was great and priced fairly. The maître d' greeted guests with a flower and was attentive. Jane (yes, the real Jane), looking spectacular, was busy helping everyone and then went to every table to present a jewelry gift to each woman. She partnered with Sequin in Naples and there was a gorgeous selection of bracelets and earrings to choose from. Wow. What an unexpected surprise. All the women were amazed at this generosity. Other than the neglectfully slow and/or absent waiters, we loved this place and will be back and will recommend it highly. We would chalk up the waiter's performance to a busy holiday, but it was more than that; we heard one waiter telling some people he clearly knew that he works full time at Truluck's. Hmmm. Saving energy for other job? We had to ask for water several times and for butter. When my husband finally got the attention of one of the other waiters and said, 'we don't have butter.'... the waiter looked at him and said (with a little attitude) 'ok.' (like what do you want me to do about it?) A customer at another table quickly offered up her butter saying that it took her a great effort to get the butter and felt our pain! I am only writing this so that the waiters might get their act together and appreciate having a job... so that this wonderful business woman who no doubt has a lot of money, blood, sweat, and tears invested in this gem, can have a team that works with her to build the business. We'll be back for sure and hope to write a new review with a better critique of the wait staff. ...
Read moreJust left Jane’s Easter brunch and it was beyond delicious as usual . The only disappointing part of the experience was our group of 16 or so was split between two groups even though we had a reservation- it would of been really great to sit with our whole family but the incredible service and fantastic food made up for it . The staff here work like a well oiled machine and our tables were taken care of constantly. The energy of this place is awesome and the outdoor seating is so comfortable and has so much charm. The food though , that’s why we love Jane’s. The food is worth the trek from Marco to third ave - if you get a chance to try any of the seafood breakfasts you will not be disappointed. My mother also raved about the eggs Benny being perfect.
All in all this is one of Naples gems . It’s nothing like other breakfast spots - and I find a lot of people don’t know it’s there because it’s sorta tucked away - but definitely make a trip here. If you have kids they have a court yard that is beautiful and we like to walk our kids around the property when we’re waiting for food . And the staff is extremely attentive to the kids - I really loved how kind our waitress was to my son who can get a little chatty with friendly strangers. Even though they were busy she took the time to let my son tell her all about what the Easter bunny brought him - and she did it with pure engagement.
Oh and the Bloody Mary was awesome - I loved my Bloody Mary , it was stacked with beefy olives and the pepper was spot on.
Great great...
Read moreI was looking forward to this restaurant but multiple aspects made it so I probably would not return. First, we made a reservation but still had to wait over 20 minutes past our reservation time. This was annoying bc we had 4 young kids who were hungry. Once we were seated, the waters came quickly but no server showed up for at least 10 minutes. We had to speak to the hostess stand to ask for our server. I got the signature Jane's salad, and the grilled chicken was very dry, it was completely overcooked. Same thing with my husband's chicken panini sandwich where the chicken was dry. Even though I ordered one of their signature items, the protein was poorly cooked so I left at least 50% of the chicken uneaten.
For the children, we ordered lemonade and our server asked if we wanted to try watermelon lemonade, that turned out to be $11 a cup, which is pretty high for a child's drink. For food we got various kinds of crepes and these were so small and thin. From the children's menu (not advertised anywhere, you would need to ask for it specifically), the fruit cup that came with the children's entree was so tiny, it is barely any fruit.
Although the ambiance of the restaurant can be nice, our overall experience between two families was just mediocre, considering there were issues on food taste...
