Clam chowder potatos were hard. I doubt it’s restaurant made. You get better from a can. I ordered fish and chips and what a disappointment. Overcooked fish. Soggy batter. Everything turned into mush when I cut into it. Was not good at all. Trash. The bartender was kind but she could not make a drink properly. I doubt her regulars or any regular at this establishment would say anything to her. It’s clear to me nobody has told her. I watched her make a pomegranate martini for one customer that was so jacked up I almost screamed. She overpoured everything and her leftovers filled a rocks glass that she gave to the same customer as a leftover or something. Then the customer said it was bad and not sweet so the bartender poured simple syrup into a shot measure and handed it to the women at the bar and said put this in it it will make it better. Literally making the customer be the bartender. And she did. And she drank it. It was wild. I will not dine here again especially for the price. What a...
Read moreI go here every week for Trivia. The Trivia host is wonderful, and our "usual" waitress is also excellent. Why the 3 stars then? Well, the food isn't really too great, but there are some items on the menu that are better than others. Their Mac n Cheese is pretty good, as is the Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer. Burgers are nothing to write home about. The White Truffle Tater Tots are nice. Beer selection is good too -- a local nashua Millyard brewery offering (usually the pale ale), Burn the Ships IPA typically, along with a few other local craft beer offerings (usually IPAs -- not my thing), and more mainstream craft offerings as well as usual Bud etc. The other reason to knock down a star is that it's really quite loud in the place.
Now, it's definitely not terrible -- after all we keep coming back week after week for trivia -- just wish the food was a little better, or the price of the food was in line with...
Read moreso being able sit outside with a group of around 20 was nice but the tavern was no where close to being prepared for this, we had 4 tables all together and these young waitresses would serve one table their appetizers at a time then wait 20-25 minutes to bring another table their appetizers, 3/4 tables got their appetizers and one didn’t get theirs until after they were done eating...i was astonished. the food was given to everyone so spread out and was frustrating because some finished before others and wanted to leave but felt they weren’t able to because the waitress didn’t bring the checks until everyone was done. we were sitting outside in the 50 degree weather for 2-3 hours. plus the food wasn’t the best. no blame on the waitresses just think the tavern needs a little bit more learning to be prepared for these type of...
