Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Nashua

I usually eat at the one in Manchester but happened to be in Nashua today and stopped in here. I ordered two number 1s and handed them my credit card. I then waited in the line for my food and tossed my receipt in the already large pile of them on the counter. I got both my plates from the cook and started to walk away when I hear two people from behind the counting screaming for me. Very embarrassing to say the least. They call me back over and tell me I only ordered and paid for 1 plate which I commented that I had ordered two plates. They kept telling me I had only paid for 1 and asking me for my receipt. I told them I had thrown my receipt away. One of the cooks then comes out from behind the counter and starts looking threw the trash and pulls out a receipt which he claims to be mine. He tells me this is your receipt see u only paid for 1. I said does it have the last four digits of my credit card on it? How do u know that is my receipt? He responds because it is. I said that's not an answer. I'm not going to pay for another plate until I know for sure I only paid for one because I ordered two. He then starts screaming at me saying "don't talk to me like I'm your family". He then picks up my Gatorade which was in front of me on the counter and flings it in the trash and walks off mumbling to himself. At this point I told the cashier I wanted a refund which he told me he would put back on my card. I get my card statement in the mail today and the charge is still on there. He also demanded the meals back which I gladly handed him. Cashiers that are rude and don't know what they are doing and a borderline abusive cook. Don't waste your time and money here. I always liked going to Sarku at tge Nashua, NH mall until yesterday. Went there as a group, and I accidentally took a meal off the counter thinking that it was mine, not realizing that my group had already taken all of our meals and walked away to get a table. I took about 5 steps away from the counter, then realized that they already had my meal. I immediately came back to the counter to put it back when a female worker behind the counter started literaly shouting at me says "you took it, you pay for it". I went on to explain to her, that I grabbed the meal by mistake and that my group had already grabbed mine. She just kept saying "you took it you have to pay for it". Mind you, she was not even there when I placed my order so she had no clue what went on and just kept shouting at me, even after I told her that I took like 5 steps and came back with the meal, unopened, untouched! I felt so humiliated, so ashamed, it completely ruined my evening meal! All the costumers and employees were watching this unfold. I finally said, (fine, I'll pay for it even thought I already paid for my meal, and I'll never be back here again!). To my surprise, one of the customers standing there, said "No, you don't have to pay for it, I'll take it. I saw the whole thing, you barely stepped away and came right back with the meal, I'll take it!" For the record... it was not the fact that she wanted me to pay for it that bothered me, is was the humiliation that she put me through that bothered me the most.

After thanking the lady who stepped in and took the extra meal, I came back and gave her a hug! I don't think anyone there but her understood how humiliated I was. Never again Sarku of Nashua,...

Been going regularly for as long as I can remember highschool ended in 2011. Anyway been a regular forever. We all know everyone has 2 things in common, we all gonna eat and we all gonna pass to the afterlife. With out a doubt my favorite meal, treat, splurge, comfort food. Also price in 2025 2 meals 2 people less than 25$ with left overs, please never change. 100% would be my last meal without a doubt. Service is consistent and never had any problems with my order and can't name a single issue. My main guy behind the counter always greets me with a smile and "how you doing friend" and to the server Jose you been giving me joy for as long as I can remember!
