I purchased a bed from this store. They sold this bed to me and never mentioned that the 100-day money back guarantee only covered the mattress, not the Flex base, which was an additional $2,000.
The salesperson told me that our existing headboard and footboard would fit on the mattress, that a technician would assemble it for us if asked. This was also not the case.
The technician then, after I had explicitly asked the salesperson to NOT dispose the mattress, took the mattress with them and disposed of it. When I raised this to the attention of leadership, the response I received was: we were wrong. Here is a refund for your inconvenience- we are so sorry this happened. Accountable sounding, right?
Well, some people rave about this mattress but I could not sleep on it. At all. It’s an air mattress. An obscenely expensive air mattress. So I went to return the mattress and learned that the amount they refunded me for DISPOSING OF MY MATTRESS WITHOUT CONSENT was being taken off of our return!
Sleep Number is an objectively deceptive organization. I paid $2299 for the mattress, and they would only refund me $1500 - AND THEN CHARGED A $249 DELIVERY FEE AGAIN.
DO. NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
** Additonal comment after the owner’s response:
The response from the owner of this business clearly shows a lack of customer empathy. I have now spoken to 8 people at this company about this specific situation. This is not about terms and conditions - rather, this is about basic customer service and accountability. Sleep Number admitted fault, offered a refund, then took the refund back in a clear violation of their own agreement. They took something of mine, disposed of it, offered an olive branch, then took it back once I was unhappy with their product. Period. Don’t let this happen to you. Lying on a bed in their showroom doesn’t tell you enough about the product. Do...
Read moreDo not buy from them. You are spending thousands of dollars on a glorified air mattress. The return policy is a joke. You can return the mattress but not the frame but if you want to upgrade your bed from queen to King, you bet they will take it back then. Save your money and buy something better that's half the price. Salesman is Nashua just kept pushing my approval on the keypad and when I asked him what he was doing he replied " don't worry, you can afford it". What an absolute joke of a company.
Response to them Maybe because your rep was just pushing the buttons I would of seen it. 100 night trial, but it's not a trial. It's like buying a pair of shoes that are a size too small. But when you go to return them they only except the box it came in back, you keep the shoes that don't fit. Don't worry , I was forced to spend $1,700 more on the king size, plus shipping, plus restocking fees, plus what ever else is in...
Read moreRebecca Barclay is by far, the most wonderful, Educated and welcoming employee I have ever had the pleasure to work with while searching to purchase one of the most important items an individual needs to make their life a much healthier existence. She was not pushy or overwhelming as I shopped but extremely educating and entertaining. Having a history of chronic neck degeneration, Rebecca took the time to listen to my pain challenges and matched me with the proper mattress that will alleviate many pain issues while sleeping. She also explained the importance of choosing the proper mattress rather than just trying to make a sale. I must say, the world needs more Rebecca's in business and Sleep Number is fortunate to have such an amazing employee. I can't wait for my new...
