I was so excited to check out the new 51st Deli, but wow⦠what a letdown. I walked in with a drink from home, ready to order, and the girl in the red shirt at the register couldnāt have cared less. She was glued to her phone even though the place was busy. Another employee literally had to tell her, āCan you ring her up?ā She acted annoyed, like helping me was the biggest inconvenience of her day.
Then, without even looking at me, she notices the drink in my hand and immediately charges me for it ā didnāt ask, just assumed. I had to correct her before I could even get my order in.
