I was so excited to check out the new 51st Deli, but wow… what a letdown. I walked in with a drink from home, ready to order, and the girl in the red shirt at the register couldn’t have cared less. She was glued to her phone even though the place was busy. Another employee literally had to tell her, “Can you ring her up?” She acted annoyed, like helping me was the biggest inconvenience of her day.

Then, without even looking at me, she notices the drink in my hand and immediately charges me for it — didn’t ask, just assumed. I had to correct her before I could even get my order in.

The food is mediocre for a deli. Arby’s is much better and less than half the price. None of the prices are posted on the menu on the wall. There’s a reason for that. When you get slammed with that bill, you’ll have sticker shock for sure! They are definitely trying to retire early. The prices are definitely NOT Family friendly. 51st deli is definitely not the right name.
