Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Edit: Aug 27th 2024 After having two bad experiences, the company emailed and called me and offered me a free meal to try to make up for the experiences I had. Today the service was excellent, food was delicious, and the brownie milkshake was amazing with the brownie in it like it was supposed to have. I will give my 1 stars an edit, and I will come back as a paying customer. Hopefully the service and quality I received today will continue as I really enjoyed my wayback experience today. I will attach pictures of this experience from today.

Went to eat here for the first time tonight and the restaurant was completely torn apart with soaking wet floors. I was slipping and sliding every where as soon as I walked in the door. Yes, business might be slow, so I agree to clean while you can, but not drenching the floors like they did tonight. Also, they told us about the rewards program as this was the first we were going to eat here and we both downloaded it to get the deal they told us about (free burger with $10 purchase) and the app wouldn't let us redeem it. Said it was invalid. The cashier said they "don't have the equipment to scan things" Then as we are standing looking at the kiosk to order, the guy starts splashing the pool of water he has on the floor around with a mop and soaks my legs with it. Didn't apologize. Didn't offer to get me napkins to wipe off. Just looked at me looked down and kept slinging in. I walked out, no food, and I won't be back. Not a good experience.

First time attempting to try a wayback burger and had a terrible experience from the GM: Yasser F. The GM was on the grill and I watched him drop raw proteins ( raw bacon, raw ground beef) with his gloved hand, on the grill, then proceeded to wrap my cooked food, with the same dirty gloves. He literally smeared raw ground beef on the outside of the bag as he gave me my contaminated food. $50 worth of food. I told him that I cannot accept this, that he didn't change his gloves. He ofcourse acted surprised until I showed him the raw ground beef he smeard on my bag. He then apologized and was humble about it BUT proceeded to take out the contaminated food and put it in a new bag AS IF!! I said that's not gonna work. He then ask me, " you really want me to recook all of this, this big order?" Wow! I asked for a refund and left. That's my first experience. Update**

I literally forgot about the email I sent. Upon checking it, it turns out that the GM is the Owner. So, the guy who responded to this review, is the same guy who smeared raw ground beef all over ny food and was baffled that I wanted it remade He definetly did not try to make it right. This is by far the worst quality food I’ve ever had in my life. When getting my order the bag was soaking wet… not shocking, the food inside looked like it was soaked in watery grease. I opened one of the burgers and the bun was saturated and literally could not be held because the bun was disintegrating due to being soaking wet. The other burger had so much ketchup on it, the wrapper was covered inside and out- i was almost convinced that was the cause of the soaking wet food. Couldn’t be- I imagine the person who prepared our order took a full glass of water and turned it over into the bag before sending it out. Not to mention that I asked for extra pickles and was met with toxic, flimsy, radioactive, out of date frisbees. The shakes I got which were brownie and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch were unbearable. The cereal within the shake was soggy and a horrible texture- not something this place has nailed on the head so far. The key point here is their golden sauce which promises a perfect dipping sauce. I’m not sure what I’m expected to dip into the mix of mustard and barbecue sauce. I think I’d be more impressed if this was presented in a better way than just two squirts of each sauce into the cup and it’s given a little shake. I truly would never eat here again, even if the food doesn’t take me out first.
