This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. We were seated at a booth quickly by a friendly hostess. Our waitress came by after about 5 minutes saying she would be back with napkins but never took our drink order (who needs napkins before drinks??). After about 10 more minutes she dropped off an entire stack of napkins then left right away without our drink order. It took about another 5 minutes for her to come back and take our drink orders and we also told her we were ready to order our food. She was very friendly just not very attentive. Everyone at our table (4 people) got soup, so about 10 minutes later she comes out with 3 bowls of soup. The chicken enchilada and southwestern soup was fine, but the one bowl of chili that was as brought out was straight ground beef with some cheese on top. It was not chili at all and was clearly the very bottom of the batch. The other person at my table who ordered chili was told his would be out shortly. 10 minutes later and still no soup, and the first bowl of chili was not appetizing. Our waitress never came to check on us and even avoided eye co tact with our table, so we asked the hostess to send the general manager to our table. We told her everything that was happening, and she apologized saying that the kitchen was short 3 cooks. We told her to take away the one bowl of chili and we didn’t want a replacement, and the other person didn’t want their chili also. She said she would go check on our food. About 10 minutes later the main entrees were brought out by the general manager. Our waitress then brought out a bowl of chili about 5 minutes later that looked much better. It all seemed well until I found a hair in my salad. At that point the meal was just ruined and everyone’s appetite was ruined. Later both another person and myself found floaters in our drinks before we left. Our waitress came back and offered us a free dessert, but none of us had any appetite left and just wanted the food we didn’t eat comped. She went to talk to the general manager, and our entire meal was comped. It was just problem after problem at...
Read moreParty of 7 came in for my daughters 20th birthday dinner around 6:30pm on Sunday evening in Hermitage. The wait wasn't long at all. When the drinks came out, my water had black things floating in it. Our waiter kinda shrugged it off and got me another without floaties. My half order of cheese fries came out just before the food. My daughters Caesar salad barely had any dressing on it and one of her pieces of honey chipotle chicken was so hard it couldn't be cut with the knife provided. My husband's chicken was undercooked and chewy. My son-in-law ordered a 10 oz sirloin that was bland and tasted like it had no seasoning on it at all. Another person ordered the bacon ranch quesadillas. No dipping sauce was provided and also lacked flavor. Why didn't we ask for steak sauce or dipping sauce? Our drinks were refilled one time during our stay. He never came back to make sure our food was good. One bite check back should really be applied if you want your guests to come back. The first rule in waiting tables is to always keep drinks refilled and tables prebussed. At one point, everyone at the table had an empty glass except me. So I then shared my water with the other 6 people at the table who were parched. Had he checked in for refills, we may have been able to ask him for some steak sauce, salt, pepper, dipping sauce, Caesar sauce, and maybe to recook my husband's chicken to avoid possibly getting sick from Salmonella. Looked around for a manager but I never saw anyone. We paid our $93 tab and left just to be done with it. We even tipped our sub-par server over 15% cause I know how hard waiting tables is. But to not see a manager the entire visit@Or for the server to not check on us once we started eating? And for 6 of us to have completely empty drinks for most of the night? That's not good business in any restaurant. There's too many other options out there to treat your customers this poorly. Don't think I'd recommend anyone go here until some better...
Read moreCame in on 1/14/23@ 12:00 for lunch. Hostess said we didn’t have any clean tables said would be about 10 minutes for a booth. Not a problem, understandable. There were 6 tables seated, less than half the room available. The bar area was well staffed and was being tended to. I noticed no tables were being clean for my party or the other couple waiting. The other couple gave up and went to the bar.we waited for a booth. Didn’t want all the background noise from the tv’s around the bar. At 12:30 a family of 7 people walked in and the hostess tells them it will be about 5 minutes as we stand there having been waiting for 30 minutes for a booth for 2 people. The people responded to her they were here before us. I ask the young lady, how much longer will it be? She said well we had someone call out, so I’m not sure. I said well you were about to seat 7 people that just walked in and we have been waiting patiently for 30 mins. I just turned around and just left, so did the family of 7 people too. This is a classic case of poor upper Management from Chili’s. They have become the normal in restaurant chains. The restaurant just opened, the tables should be clean for customers to be seated. Your employee’s calling out is no excuse, management needs to adapt and adjust. This happens any business. If you open your doors be prepared. I have always had great food from chili’s that’s why I choose to spend my money there. Some of Chili’s Upper Management need to go out to their stores and work them and find out why people are walking out! If this is the new American restaurant business model, it will not be long before they close their doors. I work for a fortune five hundred company, this is not acceptable in any shape form or fashion. It’s I don’t give a dam management from corporate management. I’m done with this restaurant chain. Their the...
