Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This place.. is bad.

I'm someone who (embarrassing as it is to type) loves cicis. I live in Huntsville AL and mistakenly expected the quality of a nashville location to be around the same. Our place is clean, constant pizza, bright atmosphere and workers who are clean and seem to care about their jobs.

I visited friday at noon, meaning they had been open 1 hour. The pizza was cold/old and the spatula handles were actually grimy and made the whole experience 2x worse because everything felt gross.

The reason they deserve 1 star instead of 0 is because I requested a pizza and it did come out 5-10 mins later. It was about the quality of the "old" pizza in the Huntsville cicis which was multiple times better than my other options so I had about 3/4 of it and left.

Don't just take my word for it, check out the other reviews. 1 star is generous, as is $8 for a buffet line of old half eaten pizza in a dirty restaurant.

The problem with this location is, in fact, location. Low income areas bring low income people who are the victims of society, but the quality/cleanliness of a store can only be as clean as the people who clean and frequent it. The people sitting in the table next to me were arguing over food stamps and sticky handed yelling kids were running around picking up slices from the buffet with their hands. If I were the manager/owner, I'd dedicate this weekend to deep cleaning and planning a multi-angled-attack on the prevailing issues to make sure this place doesn't go under, unless it actually manages to maintain income while operating like this. Then I'd be lazy like everyone else and wonder why my life sucks. No wonder really, you don't pay your workers a living...

I have been coming to this location for a few years now. The service quality has quickly gone down. There is bus boy named Robert who is always so good to us, he works on sundays. We come in with the family if we know that Robert is working. We came to eat here at 630pm on a Sunday night. There was no pizza on the line. Also theres no alfredo sauce, i asked for it and was told nope no more alfredo sauce. The staff doesnt wear gloves while making pizza. The salad bar is a mess. There is food everywhere on the salad bar. There is smoke filling the restaurant and the manager isnt even venting the store out. We ordered a personal pizza which took 30mins to receive, it was sitting on the back line table for 5mins so i approached the cook line asked for it. It is 1 hour later and pizza still isnt on the line. There are people waiting for pizza and asking when is it coming out, 5 mins they keep getting told. There are about 5 full pizza now out on the line. It very cold in the restaurant also. Someone asked for the heat to be turned on, the staff said we cant turn it on. This is truly poor service. I absolutely LOVE this franchise and they have some amazing varieties of pizza with my favorite being the Mac and cheese type. Although I really do love both dessert pizzas that they have, the Bavarian cream as well as the apple pie too. Unfortunately this location had only six pizzas up at any one time and they were your basic ones like a cheese, a pepperoni and jalapeno, and a just sausage one. Pretty bland pizzas and that's not even mentioning how the only thing in the form of dessert was a few of the the cinnamon rolls they have but only a few, around six, that were up by the pizza station since they had the dessert station already closed down for the day. I realize they didn't wanna waste food but I got there with two hours until closing time and I was with my father and my 3 nephews so I'm pretty sure we could've handled a pizza all by ourselves (at least one lol) but I asked them to make me one three times and they only made the first one even though she said she'd get the other ones in when I had...
