Gyros King 1 Madison — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I have NEVER in all 41 years of life meet a manager as rude & disrespectful! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!

When I called to check the status of my order he immediately went in going off for no reason! He didn't even allow me to ask my question.

THEN

He got my order WRONG and swore I was lying despite me offering to spend him a picture of what he gave me. Also, he left the drinks outta my bag for my boys combo. To add insult to injury, he had the delivery guy get on the phone and state he gave my son the drinks. When I asked the delivery guy why would I lie about three funky a** (because by now I'm boiling) .$99 drinks he stated "I'm just the delivery guy I handed your son the bags that were handed to me."

So, I asked did you see the drinks in the bag? He stated "no ma'am, I just gave your son what was given to me." Despite that, the a**hole owner still didn't correct his mistake!!!

Then

I take my plate back, 5.9 miles away from my house between 9 & 9:20 p.m., when I get there he still calls me a lair. Stating the order was correct when he sent it to me! Of course by this time, I'm telling him just refund my money but his attitude was so nasty and he wasn't trying to hear what I had to say, stating to me "shut-up girl," I told him to keep it I'll just stop payment on it!

To summarize it all, my order was wrong and my others were incorrect. In the process of offering to pay for the others, he refuse to correct his mistake and instructed me to shut-up! WORST EXPERIENCE WITH AN...

I am visiting Nashville for a convention. I just got into town and was looking for a quick bite for my wife and me. I love gyros so this was an easy choice after seeing the positive reviews. I got into my car and called the restaurant to place a to go order while I'm driving that way. The owner was so rude on the phone. He didn't speak great English and got so frustrated by me clarifying his questions. He then raised his voice to me and told me "to stop wasting his time." I was stunned. I asked why he was raising his voice and told him I was in route to his place. He continued to be heated and talk down to me on why I made him behave the way he was. I hung up the phone and am now writing this review. I own two small businesses and could never imagine talking to a customer this way. Also, this is the first negative I've ever written in my life and I hate that his attitude made me feel so terrible that I'm writing this. Hope he never treats another...

I pass through Nashville every couple of weeks and over the years I have tried most gyros restaurants in the area. One night, I came through town late, after 9:00 pm, and two other gyros restaurants I had tried before were both closed. Travelling down Gallatin Pike, looking for somewhere to eat, I stumbled upon Gyros King, which was still open (open 'til 10:00). To my even greater good fortune, despite the late hour, the food was the best of any of the places I had previously tried. Since then, I have been back many times, making it a point to stop in every time I pass through town. Besides my regular gyro combo, I've also tried the chicken and falafel, which are both some of the best around. Even the French fries are especially good. Alex, the owner, is from Egypt and is always very friendly and accommodating. If you are in the mood for this type of food, this is the best place I've found. Give Alex and Gyros King a try.
