The cashier was friendly, and the kitchen staff, though busy, seemed to be enjoying their work. It's the kind of place I like to support. The wait for my order was longer than expected, but I appreciate that they took their time to ensure the chicken was fully cooked.

As for the food, there are mixed feelings. If you’re a fan of Sweet Baby Ray’s sauces, you’ll appreciate that the kitchen has shelves stocked with them. The sauce on the chicken was quite sweet, though the chicken itself was well-cooked. However, the fries were soggy and lacked seasoning. The potato salad was also particularly sweet, with a flavor profile of sugar lumps in a sweet mayo and mustard sauce.

I live in Chattanooga, TN and previously enjoyed Nashville hot chicken at a local restaurant, which unfortunately closed years ago. I was hoping to find a similar experience in Nashville. The building looks a little run down, but I think a lot of small independent shops do. I am assuming there is a little bit of communication challenges, because I was ordering for my father and I ordered a single piece of catfish for me just to try. What I found out I paid for was two fish sandwiches (and a drink). I ordered mine 'hella-hot' and was expecting a red, pepper coated slab of something, but what came out was two beautiful, beautifully cooked pieces of catfish fillets. They were on white bread, which even by itself was delicious. The onion and pickle garnish was a nice touch. There was heat, but not what I was expecting. I am glad to say the heat level complimented the fish, so that the fish was the star of the dish. It was juicy, and cruchy and delicious. I do not regret him making the mistake of not giving me one piece of fish because after the first one, I would have had to wait for another one. I ordered the hot leg quarter, and it was fantastic. The whole leg was cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin that just hit the right level of spice. It came with two slices of bread and a cup of ranch on the side, but honestly, the chicken was so flavorful that I didn’t even end up using the ranch. At just $9.99, it was a great deal for such a satisfying meal.

My wife opted for the Philly cheese loaded fries, and let me tell you, they were a treat! The fries were topped with tender Philly steak, savory green peppers, onions, and jalapeños, making each bite a burst of flavor.
