Ever since my first bite of a HomeStyle Bakery cake in 2007, it became my favorite cake of all time. And it still is! The cake and the icing are delicious (each on their own, in addition to the perfect ratio of sweet), plus their decorators are all so incredibly talented. Because of that, they’ve been my first choice for occasions that need a bakery item, and when it came time to plan my wedding there was absolutely no doubt in my mind where I wanted our wedding cake to come from.

What I wasn’t sure of was what I wanted our wedding cake to look like. I met with Sarah and discussed the planned venue decorations, which coordinated with our invitations, and shared with her how I would like the cake to coordinate. Sarah sketched out a design that was beautiful, unique, and looked like it would flow wonderfully with our theme. On wedding day, when I saw the cake in person, it was perfect. The final product even blew her sketches out of the water and I honestly could not have been any more thrilled with the final design.

As expected, our cake was gorgeous AND delicious! We received compliments from many of our guests. Even our day-of coordinator asked me where our cake was from, stating she’s tasted a lot of cakes over the years and it was the best tasting cake she’d ever had.

I have enjoyed cakes from this bakery since I was a child for over 30 years but no more after today. I pre-ordered a batman cake for my daughter's birthday and upon my husband getting home with it the entire front side had collapsed forward. We called and spoke to the manager and she asked for pictures which we complied and then were told that it was our fault that the cake collapsed. She went on to say that we did not transport it correctly. The cake rode home with my husband in a box on the front passenger seat flat the entire way home. My daughter was crushed so in an effort to try and salvage her special birthday I offered to pay Homestyle $100 for a replacement (the demolished cake was $140), I was told no and that they would only do it for the full $140...this is highway robbery. They already had $140 of my money and I was willing to give them $100 more and it wasn't good enough. I was extremely disappointed in their poor customer service skills and unwillingness to work with the customer. Events that involve larger cakes are always stressful for the person throwing it and rather than defusing the situation they only made it worse. I would not recommend using them as if so something goes wrong as they are not going to stand behind their product and will not work with you to make it right. Disturbingly apathetic. I would be extremely interested in speaking with the owner of the bakery but based on her apathetic manager's attitude I doubt I will hear...

Ashley ought to be ashamed of herself ! I believe she is the manager for this location and the person I did business with. I came with intentions to place an order for a cake and was not able to simply taste the cake before dropping $200 on a cake. After exchanging words with the employee at the front counter, the manager, Ashley, was called to assist me. I was told I would need to buy a cupcake in order to taste the cake. All of the baked goods were so beautifully decorated and looked so tempting ! Everything looked very much scrumptious, so it was nothing to buy a $5 cupcake. I purchased the cupcake and ate it when I got home, and I am beyond displeased ! I bit into the cupcake, and it was hard like a brick ! Mind you this is 10 am, so one could only assume this bakery is honorable enough to sell freshly baked goods. Not the case at all. The cupcake had to be 5 days to maybe even a week old ! I gave it a second bite to make sure I wasn’t tripping, such a terrible decision. As far as making beautiful creations, I will say the cake makers are very talented. If all you want is a pretty looking cake, this is your spot. As far as the taste and quality of the cake ??? I cannot recommend this place to anyone and would even go as far to say if you are reading this review, just order a cake from Publix. Publix can make the cake pretty and delicious.
