Placed my order online. Said it would be "ready in 15-25 minutes for carryout." Great! I live only a few minutes away, so that's plenty of time to throw some shoes on and dilly dally before heading out. Arrived after the 20-minute mark to find no one standing behind or even near the front desk to help me or either of the other customers already waiting. I counted at least 4 gentlemen moseying around the back, none of which showed any interest in tending to me while I stood there. After several minutes of being ignored, there was one guy I was able to motion to who acknowledged me with a head nod before turning around and going back to whatever he was doing. Awesome. I gave someone else the ol' "hey man" to initiate some sort of contact, and he told a guy I couldn't see that I was behind the counter, which he must've plainly ignored because he never came around. Later, some guy brings up what looks to be my order, places it in their little waiting rack thing and walks away. Just...walks away. He comes back a couple of minutes later to bring an order for one of the customers who had been waiting patiently, and as he is about to leave AGAIN, I tell him I'm pretty sure my order is the one he just brought up a little while ago. He checks it, and sure enough, it is. How long was he going to let it sit there??? He asks my name, pulls up my check, asks me to sign the receipt (which has a line for a tip on there...uh, yeah, not happening tonight my man) and I gladly leave - 15 minutes after arriving.
Now, two things you might ask yourself: Why didn't I try calling to see if anyone would answer? And why not yell back at these guys and raise some hell? #1: They weren't answering their phones, no matter how long they rang. And #2: I don't care how long the wait is, you don't show any sass to people in the food industry if you don't want your food spit on or worse.
Sorry for the long review, but I felt I had to detail how my experience went in case Pizza Hut ever checks their reviews and wants more than a simple "this place sucks." For the record, I still love Pizza Hut, just not this...
Read moreWe used to order from Pizza Hut twice a week when we lived near the West End location. I moved to Antioch recently, and I expected the great customer service experience that we were used to downtown. What a complete disappointment. My first delivery order said that it would be delivered within 45-50 minutes; we got our pizza 2 hours later. The weather wasn’t that great (granted they are less than half a mile away from my residence) so I didn’t complain. The next time I ordered online from this Pizza Hut, I waited over 2 hours before trying to call Pizza Hut back to see what was going on. I was put on hold for 10 minutes then hung up on. I called back and one of the rudest workers I’ve ever heard tells me, “We ain’t accepting orders right now!” I told him I ordered online and he pretty much repeats his previous sentence. I decided to call papa johns (which is a bit further away than Pizza Hut) and order a pizza that was delivered within 5 minutes of Pizza Hut mysteriously delivering my pizza that I had ordered over 3 hours ago! So of course I called corporate to tell them about my experience, so they sent a coupon for a free pizza. I decide to place a pickup order, and they told me that my pizza would’ve ready within 20 minutes. I get there 20 minutes later and I get ignored for an additional 15 minutes (even though I’m the only customer in there!) and when I finally get someone to redeem my coupon, the worker eyes me suspiciously, narrows his eyes and asks me, “So how did you get this coupon?” I told him I got it from corporate, and his whole demeanor transforms to the usual rude service that I’m used to. We’ve switched to papa johns and haven’t looked back. This store needs SEVERE...
Read moreI would love to give this store a better rating, as the food if you get it is what you expect from Pizza Hut, and even my own experience there has been varied. However after my last attempt of an order I cannot leave any type of positive review. And I do mean an attempt at an order. Both my friend and I have tried reaching out to direct management about the fact our order was canceled without us ever being notified. By the time we realized nothing was seemed to be coming for our delivery, they refused to pick up the phone long enough to do anything other than say store is closed then hang up or hit the hold button. We called a good 10-15 times. There was no email, no missed calls, no actual attempt to tell us what was going on. Only after we started calling corporate did I figure out that the local store in fact canceled my order (it had been refunded back to my bank). My friend has tried for three days to get the store manager (we were told "Tiffany") but alas, there has been no call back. That night we had two other pizza places we tried to order from, they both had other issues but managed to call us and provide some semblance of customer service (if not our actual food) it was only Pizza Hut that failed at every point. So if you don't want Delivery or aren't ordering at a "peak"/near closing time then you might be fine but remember if you have a problem that you'll be screaming into a void or at the corporate customer service because this local store just doesn't care. And this is only the most recent of these types of events, this has happened to me before at least a year ago with almost the same results and being part of the reason I stopped going to...
