This morning I woke up and saw that a bill had come out of my account that I wasn't anticipating. I was $100 overdrawn in my account. I have only until midnight to catch it up and so I went doordashing. Though it doesn't pay as much as my real job, it allows me to spend time with my pup. She's been through a great deal, as many of us have in the last couple years, and so to spend time with her is more important to me than ever. After door dashing in the heat(100-degree weather) we headed home I had no money obviously, so I used my points to get a free frappe at McDonalds. Lauren came out to bring it to us in the curbside pickup. When she saw Lulu, my little fur baby, she made the biggest fuss over her. It warmed my heart to see such a positive interaction. In these days, the food industry is one of the hardest places to work. Staff are underpaid, overworked and they are always short-staffed. It is so easy to feel beaten down by our economy today. But Lauren showed exactly what it means to be a wonderful person. When she saw Lulu she asked if she could treat her to something and I said absolutely, that would be wonderful. Lulu usually does get treats when she goes places with me, but unfortunately we just couldn't afford it today. Lauren came back out with a full cup of ice cream just for Lulu! Lulu could not stand how excited she was. She worked just as hard as I had today and Lauren made it the best day. I don't know if we'll make our bill today, but I still feel rich in kindness from what I received from a wonderful person who remembers what it's like to be a person in this world just trying to get by. we just really need kindness and unity more than money and a smile is worth more than gold. Lauren, thank you so much for being an example of what we all should be to one another. You are an extraordinary woman.Lulu and I will be coming to visit you as much as we can, and I hope you know what a difference your kindness made in our day today. I'll be putting her name in the app. I hope the powers that be know what a gift you are to this company, and that they do whatever it takes to take care of you and appreciate what a person they have representing them. Everyday i try to fine someone who is my example of what i want to more be like. I call them my daily heroes. You're...
Read moreAs a business owner in today's day and age, I make it an effort to rate 5 stars whenever I can and aovid reviewing if it was poor service. Online reviews make or break businesses. Unfortunately, I have to review this so negatively that I hope they fire the people responsible. I'm reporting this to McDonalds corporate as well as to the BBB. See details below:
Thanksgiving day I was headed early to Nashville International for my flight back after a quick work trip. Decided to stop at a McDonalds drive thru for breakfast since I figured they would be one of the only businesses open this early on Thanksgiving morning (about 5:10am). Ordered my food, proceeded to the first window, paid by cc, and began my wait. I never saw anyone again after the first 10 mins. I still figured they were making my food and maybe I was the first person there that morning they were just warming up. I waited another five mins before I wondered if they were ever going to come out. 20 mins had passed and my patience had run out, I knocked on the drive thru window, honked my horn, nothing.
It only cost me 6.xx for breakfast that morning, but out of principle, I was not going to let these employees steal from me even if I missed my flight. Continued to honk my horn, finally after nearly 30 mins of sitting there, the gal appeared again and said, "we're closed" I asked why on earth she rang me up and took my order then? She said that her supervisor didn't let her know that they didn't open until 6am on Thanksgiving day. I asked for my money back then, she was so rude and almost didn't give it until she realized I'd be sitting there till she did, finally took my card back and gave me the refund, shoved it back to me and said "here" and then slammed the window shut.
The fact that these two employees hid in the back for 30 mins waiting for me to leave after they took my money is out of this world absurdity and they shouldn't have a job after this.
Description: gal who took my order was African American, nose piercing, looked about 17, there's another pic of her in the photos section of Google looking at her phone from a different reviewer. Supervisor that came out after the 30 mins to finally get the refund done was Caucasian, heavier set, glasses.
Both need to be fired, no ifs ands or...
Read moreImma keep it real with u chief!! This McDondal’s ain’t it. Let me take you back to a harrowing experience just over a year ago.
I pulled into the Mackey’s around 10pm to get a coffee. There were two vehicles in front of me. Took the first one about 3 mins before it pulled forward. Then the one in front of me (old lad in a pickup) was sitting there for about 3 mins as well. He eventually says, “hello?” and is met with, snicker “just a moment please.” Another few minutes pass, and the girl in the speaker says, “go ahead.”
So he starts with a question. His question? “What’s the price difference between a small and a large?” (I’m going to level with you, I have absolutely no idea at this point what drink he was ordering) Here comes my favorite part of the story. She says, and I joke with you not, “UmhmMMmMmmm, tsk tsk tsk, lemme check, uhhh. I mean, it’s like, not that much difference.”
So the dude kinda laughs and asks, “Can I get a discount for having to wait so long?” She chuckles and says, “noooo, hah hah, someone else asked that, we can’t do that.” At this point, it was a YIKES from me. So eventually he pulls forward. I pull up to the thing. No response for at least five minutes. I just wanted to push it to see how long I could stand sitting there in silence. I might be still sitting there this very momen if I never left.
At that point, since I was extremely tired and honestly quite amused, I made some strange “skrAWWWWW” sound into the speaker and got the HECK outta there.
Basically, I’m pretty let down by this MacBonwell’s. I usually don’t complain about stuff, but YOIKES. Gonna need a serious rejig (that is a British word) before I go back. AND UPDATE THE DANG HOURES ON GOOGLE. THEY AIN’T ON 24HR SCHEDULE NO MORE, B.
P.S. For me, it is the mcchicken. The best fast...
