OMG, I am completely appalled. Let’s start with the old pork chop that was deep fried in old fish grease and the amount of oil that was in my greens. I could have combed 10 different children’s hair with it! It had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever not to mention the cornbread that was hard enough to burst a thick window, but it did not stop there. I tried to have a drink of the sweet tea, but it had the taste of something that had been sitting in an old tin can that had not been washed for weeks. I cannot make this up. I should have trusted the previous reviews and stayed away from this place, but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt I am so angry. Not to mention I was charged $15 and some change for one pork chop one side and a piece of cornbread with something to drink. Some people will sell you anything. I will never ever come back...

This place is the worst!! I have been here on multiple occasions during lunch time (12:30-1:00pm) and they are always out of fried chicken!! The gentleman behind the counter always quote "25 minutes on chicken" the logical thing to do is to start frying additional chicken when you begin to run low. I don't know if I need to get there as soon as they open or what!!

I went on a different occasion trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, this time I ordered a fish sandwich and I waited for 30 minutes for them to cook it. The gentlemen in front of me said he was waiting the same amount of time just for a piece of fish.

Therefore, if you are in a rush don't go here! If you want Fried chicken between the hours of 12:30-1:00pm don't go here! If you want a Fish sandwich be...

I had the pleasure of dining at Monique’s Homestyle Cooking, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the oxtails were cooked to perfection. The turkey and dressing were so flavorful, and the sides were just as amazing – the mac n' cheese, green beans, corn, and sweet potatoes, turnip greens and more were all top-notch.

Everything was served fresh and delicious, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for comfort food. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes – highly recommend Monique’s if you’re craving some homestyle cooking!
