My family and I decided to eat dinner at this restaurant on 25 Nov 2024, while staying at the Embassy Suites (the property this restaurant is located in). Normally, I treat on-site hotel restaurants similar to airport restaurants - they can be a hit-or-miss based on luck, timing, and other factors. Just like airport restaurants, hotel restaurants oftentimes receive a similar level of scrutiny...and why is that? I have no idea.
When we walked in, we were greeted right away and escorted to our table. However, after we sat down, it took a while (~6 to 8 minutes) before anyone stopped by to ask what we wanted to drink or even provide water. I'm guessing there might have been some miscommunication within the staff or perhaps it was purely a lack of communication. Regardless, the service was top notch from that point forward. Our primary server, Jesus, did a remarkable job that evening. He was very courteous, attentive, and efficient throughout, making the experience pleasurable for our first visit to this restaurant. The décor was nice and the chairs were adequate with respect to comfort level.
We ordered the Wings (half Nashville Hot and half Buffalo) for our appetizer. The wings tasted good (flavor and texture) but I felt it was a little on the skimpier side...meaning, I've had some meatier looking wings before and this one made me question if the chicken was malnutritious during its upbringing. For our main entrées, we ordered the Mamma's Meatloaf w/Broccoli, Mid South Catfish w/Side of Garden Salad, and the Jack D. Salmon w/Squash Medley. In general, I thought the food was good. I definitely had better meatloaf, catfish, and salmon at other restaurants across the country, but these weren't awful by any means. The sides that accompanied each entrée were magnificent - no complaints there.
The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was reasonable. This restaurant doesn't break the bank so you can eat here at a respectable price. I don't know how many people will actually read this review since it was rather difficult to find this restaurant's Google profile to post a rating/review in the first place. On the other hand, whoever is reading this, I'm recommending this restaurant to everyone, especially to the ones staying at this hotel and cannot decide on where to eat away from...
Read moreGood hotel restaurant. Simple menu... something for everyone. I went with a garden salad, bacon cheeseburger and fries. Excellent service. Price was fine. No fountain soda, just cans. Excellent breakfast when they have omelettes. Only issue or concern is with management and what appears to be poor staffing. I went the following night and the place was way understaffed. The guy was the waiter and bartender. He was great! I did eat wings and fries. Small wings but the Nashville hot was good. The fries...
Read moreThis was a very good place for being in a hotel. I had the bacon burger and fries. It was a sous vide burger but it was pretty good. There was a good amount of fries. It was reasonably priced, especially for a hotel. The service was good considering there was only one person. The staff was the bartender and the waiter. Still everything came out quickly and everything...
