Tried the southern food. 1.) Chicken and a biscuit app. 2.) Fried green tomatoes app. 3.) Peach cobbler. The peach cobbler looked good and came with ice cream. The chicken for the biscuit was good but served on a dry biscuit with 2 slices of pickle.. you get two. I suggest eating the chicken and throwing the rest away. The fried green tomatoes we're coveres in parm and had Italian parsley which had wilted because they were throw on top of fried food. They were crisp on the outside but so soggy when you tried to cut them they turned to liquid. I'm betting frozen. I wouldn't call that southern. They also have calimari that isn't fresh. Why have it on the menu? I don't want rubber bands. I didn't ask for a refund and didn't ask to talk to the manager. The bartender got him I told him my experience and he just defended all of this( didn't mention rubber bands as I didn't order it). Apparently the chicken should have came with blue cheese which would have made it better?? The tomatoes are targeted at international travelers thus the parm and parsley. I don't know who these "international" travelers are but I guess they want soggy fried tomatoes Italianized while in the south? Obviously he is defending a menu maybe he created either way it is lacking! I was hoping he would be more receptive to a customer. Its not a large menu which is fine but it doesn't have a theme. You have southern, Italian, and American all on a menu the size of a placemat(one sided). Comparably Bar-b-cutie is about 2 miles away. Quick cheep Uber or Lyft. It's a nice hole in the wall place with actual historical southern roots and has authentic southern food. I recommend the fried Okra. I don't have any connection just a foodie. It's not the "high class" this place is fronting and failing to deliver but it's good food. After have a cocktail at the Sheraton try to stump the bartender he is the best thing this place...
Read more1/5 My problem started when I noticed the bartender had tipped themselves $20 on a carry out for a grilled cheese and tomato soup which was $14. I left a $2 Tip that they made $20. Fast Forward, My credit card numbers were also stolen at this hotel and was used for a $770 hotel room in Las Vegas shortly after my stay at this hotel. I have been calling this hotel daily to speak to the manager of the bar who has not called me back. I wonder if they are on vacation in Vegas? I hate to say it but, I am starting to get very suspicious that there is some illegal activities taking place amongst the staff. I have filed a police report with MNPD due to the lack of transparency from the hotel. If you stay here and use the hotel bar... ensure to check that your card is charged properly and that you made those...
Read moreAbsolute GARBAGE! Do not eat here. The “brisket/short rib burger” is just a low grade hamburger. The “bacon” you can get on it was terrible and the “carmelized onions” was the very top of the onion with the hard middle inside. It was not carmelized at all. The “chef” should find a different line of work as they clearly had no clue what they were doing. The fries were massively under done and tasted like card board. All of the ketchup packets were stuck together, filthy and disgusting. I get it…it’s a hotel restaurant…but this was especially terrible. My 9yr old son got the same thing and even he was disgusted with how low quality the food was. I travel a lot for work and have eaten at dozens and dozens of hotel restaurants and this one was complete garbage. Don’t...
