Update - it’s the holiday season so I was reminded again of how I spent last Christmas Eve and Christmas nights, in this roach infested hotel that didn’t give us any refunds or credits and in fact charged us extra penalties for leaving the hotel once we discovered the roach infestation.
I see other guests have been charged money for being given a urine soaked bed and been given used bath towels instead of clean towels. Clearly everything going great at this establishment.
Again, please consider spending your holidays anywhere else. Not only is this hotel disgusting, it’s also very overpriced. Happy holidays.
Edit - after the hotel’s response, I wanted to add to my review. ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES
Of course I will never stay in this hotel or any Marriott or Sheraton property again.
I was charged $900 for three days, including the day after I left because apparently leaving due to ROACHES is a violation of the requirement to provide 24 hours notice before cancellation. !!!
If I was eating at a restaurant and there was a roach in the food I would expect not only an apology, or to be moved to a different table in the restaurant (!), I would not expect to still be charged for the food. My mother paid for this trip. It was Christmas and my dad died last year so she didn’t want to have Christmas at her house. This was her money.
Your hotel has a mini fridge for restaurant leftovers and snacks for the kids. We were eating and sleeping in that room.
You had roaches crawling around where my daughter and I were eating and sleeping, on Christmas, and you still charged for a full stay PLUS PENALTIES FOR CANCELLING.
I mean, I can’t even come up with words for customer service terrible enough to insist on charging a guest for an entire stay after they found not one, not two, but three roaches in their room in less than two days.
There is a rule of thumb that exterminators use - they say if you see one roach there are a thousand in the walls that you’re not seeing. It doesn’t matter to me if your staff couldn’t see it when they looked, and it doesn’t matter if you sprayed one time after I left. That doesn’t help us in any way. I saw three in 36 hours. You have a pretty rampaging infestation problem if I’m seeing that many that often. Gross gross gross
Of course I would never stay at one of your properties again. I deleted the app and my rewards account as did my poor mom, who has been charged all of this money. Absolutely shameful.
Original review- This hotel has a ROACH infestation. It is infested with ROACHES.
I stayed for most of Christmas week this past December. Arrived on Dec 23rd, spent most of our time away from the hotel doing holiday/family activities, but by the morning of December 27 I’d seen three roaches already in both the guest room and the bathroom.
I messaged the front desk about it, and after an extended wait they offered to let me and my 5 year old daughter move to a different room.
I do not want a different roach infested room in a roach infested hotel.
The front desk didn’t respond to additional messages and they offered no other resolution.
I left and moved to a different hotel that didn’t have roaches crawling all over, but I still had to pay $900 for the stay.
I’d obviously give zero...
Read moreWhen I arrived, my pre-booked king sized bed room was not available, despite arriving more than two hours after check-in time begins (I arrived at approximately 5:30), and was told I would have to wait an hour or more for the room I was supposed to get; as such, I decided to take a room with two queen beds as I did not have time to wait. My room had clearly not been cleaned or inspected prior to my arrival, instead merely having the beds made. On one bedspread, there was dried blood. In the grate over the air duct, a hand towel was stuck in and hanging. The coffee pot had a used filter and grounds in it. There was no body wash in the shower dispenser and the shampoo was nearly out.
I called guest services in the evening of the first night upon discovering these things, as well as finding that there was an extremely bright blinking light on the smoke detector. They sent maintenance to cover the light (unsuccessfully) and said that housekeeping would come take care of the issues in the morning. The following morning, I stopped at the front desk to reiterate the problems and was advised again that housekeeping would take care of it, and that maintenance would go back to attempt a more effective fix on the light issue.
At 4:15pm I returned to my room to find that it had not been cleaned and maintenance had not come. Only after yet another call did they come, and even then the housekeeper had not been informed of what was needed (a full removal of all bedding and replacement with new, removal of the towel hanging from the grate, etc), and was confused when I told her to change all bedding. Additionally, and unfortunately I did not discover this until the following morning when I went to shower, she had not been informed that the body wash and shampoo needed to be replaced.
All in all, this is the second worst hotel experience I have ever had, losing out narrowly on the top spot to a hotel that smelled strongly of urine. I cannot express strongly enough how poor this experience was, and how strongly I will urge others not to use your facility. The fact that this was allowed to happen is unacceptable, but the lack of action taken by the hotel staff when informed of it is...
Read moreI had a pleasant checking in experience with the ladies at the desk. I was very excited about the hot tub in the pool I was very disappointed to find the hot tub water to be cold. I feel like if you were charging the prices you are the hot tub and amenities listed should be working. The gym looks nice and had plenty of options for work out routines. I was disappointed that the vending machine was out of Mountain Dew and there wasn't a snack machine. I absolutely love the view of the patio courtyard with the pool and hot tub and fountain. I thought the tub in the room was a great size but was disappointed with the condition of it as it was chipping away in a lot of areas. I was also disappointed that there was no shampoo in the shower with only conditioner and two body washes. I was leaving a sweet note for housekeeping and that's when I realized near the trashcan was an empty bottle of alcohol when we did not bring any into the room that let me know that it wasn't clean properly. The bed was very comfortable but I was very cold the whole night and felt like it was not getting warmer in the room. The parking situation left you with options of where to park closest to your room. I love that they have a valet option. Overall I would like to stay at this hotel again I would just like to see there be improvements. Before leaving I did let the kind individual that was available when I checked out the next morning that The room wasn't really clean and gave the example of finding the alcohol bottle. The parking was removed from us for the day which I really appreciate it however we were checking out that morning so I didn't feel like we needed to pay for parking for the whole day since we were checking out early morning before 10 AM. I did appreciate being heard though and that makes a lot of a difference. I booked this hotel on hopper and I do not regret using Hopper to get the best price as it was cheaper than what the hotel was...
