Sat. July 23, 2022, I have been a customer of Jenny’s for over 10 years. During the time Jenny had the only location on Nasa. 1st problem I did not know the policy had changed to pay when ordering -my mistake. 2pm the cake was to be picked up. I arrived and the cake was not made. Jenny’s sister, who now makes the cakes at the Nasa location, advised me the cake had to be paid for in advance. No one called me to say, “the order was cancelled!” There were two other adults helping at this location! 2nd problem- Jenny’s sister, angrily said, she would make the cake, I waited. She brought a white icing with purple writing- I did not like the way it looked. The purple color was a bit off and not a pretty cake. I hesitated and shared that I did not like the way the double layered cake looked. Even angrier, She took the cake in the back and re-icing the cake. When she brought out the cake a 2nd time, It was a very pretty cake. 3rd problem- when I took the cake to my party and I cut into the cake you could then see the thickness of the icing. I served it. The cake had so much icing, because the icing was double thick from covering up the purple. It was so sweet that it was not edible. Each person was scraping off the icing to eat the cake. A failure on double icing to cover up the original purple on the cake!! 4th problem- I called Monday morning to let Jenny’s sister on Nasa who made the cake-know the problem. She was argumentative and denied there was a problem. She stated, “The recipe had not changed .” Yes, The cake was delicious but because it was double icing-it had to much frosting and was too sweet to eat! Which ruined the cake!! The problem fell on deaf ears and the lady was argumentative! She did not want to hear how I had an over icing cake! I called the 2nd location to talk to Jenny in Friendswood. Jenny was also very rude and argumentative. Nothing was resolved and both ladies could not listen to my complaint-double icing a cake to make it so sweet that it was not edible. Lesson learned! I should of walked out and picked up another cake elsewhere when it was not ready. Especially, after seeing the angry look on her face. After 10 years of ordering cakes I will no longer return to this establishment. Unfortunately, when an establishment grows and has another baker -not the original Jenny. Read moreThis place has the WORST customer service ever ! Ordered a small wedding cake 10 days before wedding paid in full. When I picked it up the morning of it looked NOTHING like the display cake !!! It had holes in the sides and the roses were off center and the icing ribbons were sloppily done and uneven. When I complained the young male employee told me to go to H-E-B or kroger and get my cake !!! He threw my money back at me and walked off into the back whilst shouting "enjoy your wedding" and left me 3 hrs before the event with no cake ! I had eaten some of their cookies and cakes before and though they were overrated and too expensive but went because of good reviews ! What a disgrace ! Unprofessional -rude -arrogant -overpriced- nothing is like the display and they left me three hours before the wedding with no wedding cake. Do not recommend ! Take the drive to and go to cakes by Jula Best cakes ever and super nice service. The only reason I didn't go there is this was closer to the wedding. Cakes by Jula is million times better. Read morePlaced an order a week ago for the Friendswood location by accident which is no problem but they offered to transfer it to nasa location. A couple days later I contact the nasa location to ensure my order is confirmed, they say they don't have it so I call Friendswood back and they say it's been transferred to nasa and it's confirmed. I then call Nasa immediately back and the guy was saying they didn't have it and Hwa looked for it. So a lot of back and forth and no communication regarding the order with anyone. He called me back and was able to finally confirm my order but berated me and was rude, cut me off and hung up on me. I called back and asked for a refund as i no longer want any business with them but was denied. I ordered a lot of cakes from their nasa bakery and tell everyone about them, but will no longer give them my business.
