Cacio Pizza & Pasta just landed at Market on 8th, and it’s already a must-visit. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with decor that transports you straight to Italy—think classic artwork, and, of course, the iconic Mona Lisa waiting for a selfie moment. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Now, the food? Next level. The Margarita Pizza is baked fresh in their dome oven, perfectly crispy with just the right amount of basil, tomatoes, and melty cheese. The Chicken Alfredo is creamy, garlicky, and packed with flavor. The Avocado Rolls are crispy, creamy, and a must-try. And the Tequila Chicken? Bold, flavorful, and definitely lives up to the hype of being the customer favorite! Every dish was a hit, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere made it even better. Already planning my next visit. Pro tip: Snap a selfie with Mona Lisa while you’re there. Highly recommend!

Cacio is located inside of the Market on 8th food hall in National City. They serve an impressive range of pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. I recently came by for my first time and bought a chicken parmesan sandwich. First off, the staff were very welcoming and genuine. Second, the food came out quickly and they gave me a side of chips which I didn’t even expect. The sandwich was great. The tomato sauce was very well-crafted—a little sweet and bursting with flavor. The chicken cutlet was perfectly fried, not oily, and was pretty juicy. I’d definitely recommend this spot at least for the chicken parmesan, but the level of flavor that was in it makes me believe most of the menu is great. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for quick Italian in National City.

So happy that I stumbled upon this place! A hidden gem… this place deserves to be a high-end Michelin star restaurant. By far, the BEST pasta I have EVER had. They recommended the tequila chicken pasta (#1 seller) and I haven’t had anything like it… it was amazing. The sauce is made fresh to order. I wish they’d bottle it, so I could buy jars of it! Also, their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. They went above and beyond… so friendly, patient, accommodating, AND they checked in to see how we liked everything! My photos don’t do it justice (we already ate most of it) I can’t recommend this place enough!
