Oriental Cafe — Restaurant in National City

Menu prices are different from bill. If you ask for item prices the lady says price is more now. Fried rice example says $12.95 ok the menu says $1 more in pen writing. So why she charge me $14.95.? And I asked for cup of water. I was given bottle water. Which she charges $3.50. I said I should have been asked if I want water for $3.50. CA has law to been given free water. She said they had a problem with there tap/ filter water. Ok then you shouldn't charge me for water bottle if your restaurant can't provide proper service. And if you have a water issue how are you able to cook food clean and properly!! I really try to give the benefit but this time the business is really Dirty!! They need to be inspected. Maybe it will correct the problem or make her stop over charging. Or not she does it cash only because she lies on her taxes. After eating here I can't help but ask, " where have you been all my life?" The Oriental Cafe offers generous portions for generous prices and unless you've fasted the whole day you will be bringing home Leftovers. The staff is friendly and efficient as they tend to the constant flow of customers that filled the humble establishment. Some may take mark down this Cafe for its simplistic decor; but others, like myself, find it charming. And after trying their dishes, it only adds delight to find a nice whole in the wall that let's their dishes speak for themselves. I recommend dining in because you will get a serving of their egg drop soup and it is absolutely worth trying. It's hearty flavor reminds you of the soup you wish you had on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather. This is an establishment that deserves its business and I am already planning on coming back and bringing more family to experience...

This is some of the best Chinese food that I've ever had. It's pricey, but it's well worth it. If this place were cheaper I know I would eat there a lot more frequently, and gain a lot more weight! Lol. 😄 My husband and I order this a la carte Chinese food from this place for special occasions by calling over the phone and by placing our usual order, and it's typically around $45.
