LAS UVAS TEJUINO LA DONA — Restaurant in National City

The tejuino is acceptable, but not very good, but I used to put up with it because one, it's one of the only places offering tejuino, and two, because I've known the lady since she used to sell out of a small cart on a vacant lot.

I was proud of her for moving up in the world, but the pride is gone and has been replaced by anger. She refused to let me use the restroom and I almost had an accident at her shop. She didn't care!

I own a business too, and even though I don't sell food, I make my restroom available to my clients. Maybe she's lazy and doesn't want to clean it, neither do I, but guess what? It's our job!

So I actually was a really big fan of this place when I first started coming here which was maybe about eight months ago but i've noticed that they've been closing really early sometimes and also the raspados are not what they used to be in the sense of quantity. I really like the flavor of the raspado of the Rompope but they are a bit short with the liquid itself so I decided to give them one more try a couple days ago and they did the same thing. I don't mind the price of it...It's just if there's not enough liquid, It becomes really watered down and I can barely...

The place was clean, I liked the decor. The place was empty when I was there. I ordered the nachos and they're ok but kind of pricey for chips from a bag and cheese from a can, jalapenos are optional. The Pina colada shake was good but I was almost over charged for it by 5 bucks by the girl at the register. It seems like everything is overpriced and they only take cash, which is probably why the place was empty. Who carries cash anymore, not this guy. Which is why I probably won't be returning to this place again but I wish...
