If you're craving an authentic taste of Mexico, Carnitas Quiroga is the spot! This charming restaurant has captured the essence of Mexican kitchen tradition, transporting diners straight to the heart of Mexico with every bite. The flavors here are so genuine that you'll swear you're enjoying a meal in a bustling Mexican mercado. From the moment you step inside, the staff welcomes you like an old friend. The extraordinary service is unmatched; the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and satisfied. And let me tell you, the complimentary carnita taco you receive upon arrival is a delightful glimpse of what's to come. It's juicy, flavorful, and a perfect teaser of the culinary adventure ahead. Year after year, Carnitas Quiroga remains consistent in delivering those rich, vibrant flavors. Each dish is a celebration of Mexican culture, served with unmatched passion and care. And the best part? The prices are incredibly affordable, making it easy to indulge without breaking the bank. In a world where dining options are endless, Carnitas Quiroga stands out not just for its food but for the heart and soul that goes into every plate. Whether you're a taco lover or just dipping your toes into Mexican cuisine, this place promises a delightful experience that feels like a home away from home. Deliciosos!

Carnitas Quiroga are famous in Tijuana so this place is legit & after seeing their name pop up on socials I've been wanting to check it out for a while!! Let me tell you, best carnitas I've ever had in San Diego. Not dry or oily, just crispy juicy goodness and paired with really good beans as well. Their portions are huge which is rare to see with this level of quality and prices, ask for a box in advance because you will have the best leftovers tomorrow. Their handmade sopes made me tear up & reminded me of the motherland 🇲🇽 lol definitely a great experience and excited to try other things. Clearly the food surprised me but what really sold me was the customer service. They're incredibly welcoming, engage in conversation, and very attentive. You can tell they put a lot of love into this place and care about their customers. Salsas are not spicy & safe for the wimps lol. I wish they had a habanero option but maybe they have it on request? I didn't ask. So if you're looking for an affordable Mexican restaurant in the South Bay with awesome food, lots of parking, dog friendly, and exceptional customer service, do yourself a favor and check it out. Their new patio is beautiful 😍😍

It tasted better than it looked. I had the quesabirria tacos with Consume. Only half was dipped and the tortillas weren't all that great. However the meat tasted good, it was a little fatty but had a good deep flavor. There was barley any cheese though. The consume was REALLY GOOD. Not too oily and seasoned well. I ate all of that! My boyfriend had the flautas and said they were bland and over fried. They came toppes with a good amount of crema, guacamole and lettuce. Service....we waited at the front of the line, never acknowledged. After standing for about 10 minutes she finally asked if it was here or to go, when we said for here she said to go sit and someone would come to us. Annoying but whatever. My Spanish isn't great and our waitress didn't speak English, so be aware of possible language barriers. Fortunately we understood enough of each other to get by.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I was with a friend so it was a party of two. It is a small restaurant. Clean and airy. It has outside seating as well as inside. Staff were very cheery and greeted us when we walked in. If eating there, sit down at an open table, and they will come and take your order. For take out order at the counter. We actually went for the Chili Reyano as a friend told us it was very good. We were just a little late as someone had gotten there earlier and bought them out for the day. We will be going back again to get it. I had 5 rolled tacos with shredded pork. They were very good and fresh. (I had to order guacamole separate.) My friend had a carnitos barrito and really liked it. Neither items came with any sides (beans and rice), but the servings were so big they were not needed. Both of us ended up taking part of it home. I really enjoyed my visit and recommend it. I will...
