Poke Etc is an absolute gem in National City! (San Diego) I can't say enough good things about this place. If you're a poke fan or just someone looking for fantastic food, this is the spot to be.
The selection here is unmatched - they have a wide variety of fresh and flavorful poke options. Whether you're into classic combinations or like to mix and match your ingredients, Poke Etc has you covered. Their poke is always top-notch, and you can taste the quality in every bite.
But what sets this place apart is not only the delicious food but also the fantastic service. The staff here is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help you choose the perfect poke bowl. And if you're not in the mood for fish, don't worry - they have other incredible non-fish options that are equally satisfying.
One more thing that makes Poke Etc stand out is their all-day breakfast menu. Yes, you read that right - you can enjoy a delicious breakfast no matter what time you visit. It's perfect for those of us who love breakfast food at any hour of the day!
And for travelers, it's super convenient since it's less than 20 minutes from the airport. So whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by Poke Etc and treat your taste buds to an unforgettable experience. You won't be disappointed!
Overall, Poke Etc is a true gem in San Diego, and I can't recommend it enough. I'll definitely be back for more of their amazing food and friendly service.

Read moreWent over here for the first time and the poke was very well marinated and fresh. A lot of poke places that does Shoyou Ahi Tuna does not have the flavor penetrate into the fish, its more of a coating, but Poke Etc., did an amazing marinade on their Shoyou Ahi Tuna as it well through the fish. The other flavors we tried like the Spicy Garlic and Cali-Hawaiian were very well done and flavorful. It is indeed sauced up but you can still taste the fish through it. Ordering was done like a quick cafeteria style so it was kinda hard to order as a first time customer when first taking in the order options, but the employees did their best in explaining the âTop Sellersâ and being patient with us at least. The atmosphere was very typical âlocal, family owned shopâ vibes, I donât know how to explain it, but as an SD County native, it felt almost just as home-y as my favorite childhood family resturant. A friend of mine also had Hawaiian Poke in HA and she stated that this poke shop was the most closest thing to the original in the islands, and I honestly believe as Iâve also had many poke shops, and they passed my personal âshoyouâ...

They're not necessarily the typical poke bowl one would recieve.
They have choices of poke already pre-mixed, so you pick your entrées with double rice or rice and seaweed I believe the option was? I did double rice and was happy with my decision.
The spicy mayo salmon was tasty. As well as the garlic. I was told the kimchi was delicious too. The seaweed side I picked from the fridge was a little too sweet for my liking, but was still a pleasant side to eat. There's small and larger portions available.
There was a large selection of bottled and canned drinks located in refrigerators in the line. There was also a small heated case for bottled green tea and canned coffee.
Very friendly service and staff! And they have a good amount of seating.
Only downside is the parking suuuucks! Very busy plaza! Cars in and out causing awkward street congestion. The liquor store owner was standing outside in front, directing traffic in and out of the stores designated spaces. If you weren't going to the liquor store, you weren't...
