A few days ago, I visited this location for the first time and had a really disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the employee greeted everyone except me, which made me feel uncomfortable. I was having a rough day and just wanted to get some yogurt, but as I approached the register, I accidentally unscrewed the top of the chocolate, and it spilled everywhere. I immediately started cleaning it up and apologized repeatedly. I made a new yogurt because it was covered in chocolate.Instead of understanding and offering to the throw it away. The employee seemed visibly irritated, which only added to my embarrassment. A man then came out, and despite me telling him that I no longer wanted the yogurt because it was covered in chocolate, they insisted on charging me for both. I felt ignored, judged, and disrespected throughout the whole encounter, and I couldn’t help but feel that my race played a part in how I was treated, as I was the only person not acknowledged. Stopped for a frozen yogurt on this hot day. The employee that was serving the yogurt, was using only small cups and filling them 1/2 full. When he brought my cup to the register, I asked him to put more yogurt in the cup, he walked over to the toppings area and scooped 3 big scoops of some topping that's filled with juice. I told him I wanted more yogurt not toppings. I could tell he was upset, but he should have asked me how much I wanted. When the (2) Frozen Yogurts were weighed up, THE TOTAL CAME TO $19.83!!!!!! Out of all of the fro-yo spots in San Diego this one is the best. The environment is whatever but the plain tart flavor (only valid option to measure) is so delicious and highly considerate of the formula for what makes fro-yo good (tart flavor, soft serve-esque texture, but also creamy, perfect ratio of yogurt culture to sweetness) it’s perfect! I went through a phase a couple months ago and went to like 6 places some that even had more topping options and it felt like I was cheating on my beautiful wife with a stripper. Truly peak.
