I had the joy of trying out some food from Cody's with my fiance last week. We walked into a line of people waiting for their orders which is usually a really good sign. They didnt wait very long either in my opinion, especially for food made to order. We placed an order for lunch, an order of plain fries, the chicken Caesar sandwich, and a tomato pie to go. Sitting there staring at the desserts was the only negative because we ended up having to add them to our order as well! We chose the chocolate peanut butter tiramisu and the biscoff stuffed churro cookies. After the lunch rush passed, we overheard Cody thanking his entire staff for their hard work during the rush and how grateful he was for them. I mean honestly, what a guy. We got home and tried the fries. Again plain, but my goodness were they SO good! The sandwich was insanely delicious. The roll was so crunchy but soft all at once with the freshest ingredients on it. We let his parents try the tomato pie and they were crazy about it! Best they've had in quite some time! There wasn't room for dessert but we managed to try it all anyway! That tirimisu was so light and not that fake super sweet stuff you get at a lot of restaurants. The flavor was incredible. And the cookies? Just so beyond good. What a talented chef and baker he is! The food is so good because it's made with love and you can honestly feel that. Thanks for a wonderful experience and I wish you so much more...
Read moreWent to Cody's for lunch. One of us had the Italian Tricolor the other had the Italian Porchetta, but we also shared with eachother. First off the subs are huge and really good.
I've been looking for a good Pork & Broccoli Rabe sub since 2017 when I had one for the first time in Philly. Well, I finally found it and it was even better than the one I had in Philly. The person I was with is very critical of food. After taking a bite he blurted out "Holy __ that is good" without even realizing what he said.
Cody's Italian Tricolor is kind of a twist on a Chicken Parm sub. I grew up with many first and second generation Americans whose parents / grandparents were "right off the boat" from Italy. I can honestly say, the Italian Tricolor sub from Cody's is tied forthe best Chicken Parm I've had in a restaurant even rivaling some of the chicken parm I've had at my friends' houses growing up. In my opinion, he tied with a restaurant where the chef is from Italy.
We will definitely be adding Cody's to our list of favorites and we are looking forward to going back to try some more things on the menu.
Definitely worth the money.
Note: The restaurant is small place so I believe large parties would need to do take out but don't let that discourage you. You...
Read moreFinally synchronized their business hours with a trip to Nazareth and it was well worth it! We arrived, fed the meter, ordered, and after 1 hour, fed myself. 😂 The lady at the counter, Fern, was pleasant amidst all the dufferent customers picking up, ordering food and asking questions. 💪 I decided to order the basic cheesesteak and one square of tomato pie. Everyone has different tastes and preferences and so, the cheesesteak was tasty but so much cheese overpowered the steak. The seeded roll was great. 👍 My husband ate the tomato pie and loved the sauce, tad sweeter than most. I took a bite, it was not bad but not my favorite. Cody was hustling, grilling and fielding questions and holding it all together. The interior is small; a couple of tables and chairs with that all important extra set out front. Great to see folks patiently waiting outside, walking through town and those ordering ahead of time as most folks will WAIT for a good product. 😋 I’ll be back to try the porketta sandwich! Great selection menu, glass case of homemade desserts and a reasonable priced drink list. It’s awesome to have another business to fuel the Nazareth...
