TLDR; Farm Table in Nazareth has the best cinnamon roll pancakes i’ve ever had in my life. The whole place is amazing and all the food was delicious. They deserve to be blown up like Napolis.
Before I begin, i’d like to thank you all for posting about this place consistently enough as to where it was on my mind at least once a week. I would also like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this review, if you can call it that…
Farm Table in Nazareth, Pa…. has changed my life forever.
We started off with orange juice, a cappuccino & an iced latte. These are not pictured as I hadn’t decided I wanted to make a post until the food came out. All drinks were drank in a matter of minutes, they were so delicious and fresh. The orange juice, such a basic breakfast beverage it often is overlooked, but to whom ever is back in the kitchen squeezing those oranges, you deserve a raise. Talk about the perfect balance between tarty and sweet.. Amazing.
My mom and I couldn’t decide between savory and sweet when it came to choosing what i’d be blessing my tastebuds with…so we chose both. She ordered the sausage gravy & biscuits, I ordered The Kitchen Sink scramble bowl, and we agreed we’d split our dishes and share a full stack of the cinnamon roll pancakes. A friend of mine, had the oreo french toast from the specials menu.
The kitchen sink, a bowl with potatoes, piles of meat, egg and cheese, was an absolute home run. Protein in every bite, potatoes seasoned well & cooked with onions, peppers & mushrooms. 8/ out of 10, based on personal preference of liking crispier potatoes, melted cheese & a pinch of more salt. I would definitely recommend and also order again.
The sausage gravy and biscuits was simply put, delightful. Not too heavy of a gravy and all the flavors really connected when taking a single bite. The biscuits were just a little over done & dry, they didn’t need the extra grill time. Overall, 8.6 out of 10, lacking sage & cumin but still so delicious. Would try again, and would recommend as well.
The oreo french toast, as I was told was “so good I could eat this everyday”. She mentioned the filling tasted like the icing on a birthday cake, and really sweet. So if you love french toast and you’re looking to jazz it up, i’d go with this special before it’s gone forever a ever !!
And for the main character, the literal best thing i’ve ever put in my mouth, the cinnamon roll pancakes. Have you ever heard a song, or smelled a certain scent that took you back to when you were a kid & your biggest decision that day was to choose wall ball or kickball at recess? Yeah, this was that. Immediately upon taking the biggest forkful of the fluffiest pancakes i’ve actually ever seen, I was blasted back to being 8 years old on Christmas morning eating cinnamon rolls for breakfast after opening gifts. These pancakes almost made me get down on one knee and propose to the chef who made them. I mean seriously, they were that good. If I was in jail on death row, I would choose these as my last meal. If I had to choose one meal for the rest of my life, it would be these flapjacks swirled with cinnamon & brown sugar batter, topped with a sweet cream cheese glaze, cinnamon chips and whipped cream. I mean they’re an absolute 10/10, stop in the street and tell a stranger they should try them good. As a chef myself, they were the best pancakes, no, the best dish i’ve ever tasted. You need, to try them. Go, run, I need to see y’all knees to chest sprinting in the streets to get these pancakes hot off the griddle, expeditiously. Your taste buds...
Read moreMy friend and I were looking forward to trying this restaurant after seeing posts on FB. It was busy which we expected. We walked in and didn’t know if we seat ourselves or wait. So we asked other customers. We were told to go to the check in desk which was in the middle of the restaurant. The hostess said she needs to clean off a table and will be back. As she did I was just looking at the cute decor. She came back and just said “ there’s a table in the back “ didn’t direct me to it so I just guessed which table. My friend and I sat down and we waited for about 20 minutes. We didn’t get menus, and we had to stop a waitress to ask for coffee . The waitress then tells us that the coffee bar is in front and it’s self serve. Although I understand it’s busy and it’s a good way to lessen the load on staff, it would have been nice to communicate that to us when we checked in. We could have grabbed coffee while we waited for someone to acknowledge us. It also would have been better to push through the crowd once with our coffee instead of pushing through, sitting, then pushing through to grab coffee and sitting again. After the 20 min , we finally got our menus. We ordered scrambled bowls , crab Rangoon bagel and a short stack of pancakes because we wanted to try different plates. Our food took at least another 30 minutes. Again I understand busy but there were at least two tables that came AFTER us- were serviced and served quickly. And they left before us. Once we noticed that we asked another waitress the status of our meal. She said she will check. Our original waitress came back and said she swore she put the order in , and doesn’t know why it’s taking long. The other waitress then comes back and gives us the bagel and said the bagel is made at the bar area and it’s a separate process. Okay, at this point we are annoyed. Bagels looked like they were baked when we walked in. It’s hard to believe the spread used on the bagels are made at each order . I would think spreads were made ahead of time especially on weekends. Then we got our pancakes , then got our bowls. Each dish took forever to come. Again— I understand it was busy but we saw people get their WHOLE order at once. We felt like we were ignored. The food was good. But the way the service was, made our experience not enjoyable. There are a lot of small restaurants who are just as busy but their service is still great. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others for the fact that their service might be just as...
Read moreThis is a place with a lot of potential if it doesn't become just another breakfast place. The interior is very cute, and the staff is friendly, but that is not enough to survive in a little town of Nazareth. I do understand that it didn't have the grand opening yet and this is just a friendly critique and a few tips from an experienced foodie. The place is new and most of the people are not familiar with the menu. I felt rushed to order because there was a line of other customers behind me and I missed some items from the menu I would have ordered. Tip: have those laminated menus at every numbered table which would give people more time to get familiar with the food you offer and after they place the order at the counter ( While you don't get the full table service) it would be a nicer way to find the table instead of yelling the names. Presentation! Our panini sandwiches came served on a white paper plate with a piece of strange tasting pickle on the side. Totally not inviting! People like their food better if it's served nicely. How about some nice looking serving baskets or plates and some of the condiments on the side. Your place is decorated nicely, you can do better with the food. To be an awesome restaurant you have to have a wow factor! That means, things on the menu which other places in the area don't have. Something like pizza bagles or burger bagles or something else, just different! Making your bagles fresh every day is an awesome idea, but I was told to come early because you run out quickly. You have to fix that! Not everyone is an early riser and eat their breakfast early. As I said this is just a friendly critique! I will give you some time to get more officiant and get your ducks in the row. Paninis were pretty tasty. Everything bagles were good but way too salty. You might want to be more careful with that in the future. But we will be back. Good luck with your...
