Hana Sushi — Restaurant in Nazareth

This place was highly recommended by a friend, so we came with high expectations, but was only met with disgust and regret. The outside looks like a shady old shop, so we thought "hey this might be a hidden gem", but we were very very wrong. The place was empty (my group was the only ones eating there on a Saturday night and now we know why...) The lighting inside was very dim and the food was extremely overpriced for the mediocre quality. The fried yakotori noodles was way too oily and had too much soy sauce. The karaage in my bowl was too dry and flavorless. I had to dip it in the sauce to eat it. The sashimi that my other friends got were also bland and drenched in soy sauce. The tempura's batter was way too heavy...... At least the miso soup was decent enough. This must be the only Japanese restaurant in town, so they could get away with such low quality. Tiny place but great sushi.

We were a party of 2 so they did not take reservations for us and was told walk in only when we called. (They do take reservations but for larger parties)

Knowing this place gets busy we got there early and most of the tables were already reserved. We got the last 2 seats at the sushi bar.

It's BYOB but they have some soda from what I saw off to the side.

We got miso soup to start. It was hot and had a good taste to it.

Afterwards we got some rolls. I went with the safe choices because again, this was our first time here so I wanted to stick with what I know for now. California roll, spicy salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and a salmon roll.

All were very good, fresh and would recommend. Service was quick. We will definitely go back.

Hands down best sushi i've ever had in my life! A lot of great choices. Their sushi specials are always on point. Amazing dessert! They have a very unique style of cheesecake that you have to try when it's available. Also, sometimes, they offer the most delicious green tea lava cake. It's to die for! My husband ordered one so we could share which was a mistake. We were fighting over it bc it was sooo good! Lol. Only downside is it's byob and there is literally one waitress serving the entire restaurant which might explain her extreme unfriendly and dull personality. She's not rude or nasty but she never smiles, explains anything or even try to engage her customers. She takes your order, bring you your food and that's it. So if you're looking for 5 star service, this isn't the place for you. However, if all you care about is quality sushi, you will not be disappointed...
