Ordered penne with pesto for pickup through DoorDash and the app said the order was ready. When I arrived they told me it would be another 10 minutes. It appeared as those they didn't even start the order. When the food was ready, they put a Sprite in my bag. I told them that I didn't order it and they said it was for the wait. I asked them to take it back because I don't drink soda. I then asked for Parmesan cheese. When the person who was helping me went to grab it, the owner came out and asked if I was compensated for the wait. I told her that I was, but I didn't want the soda. I proceeded to inform her that I lost my entire lunch break waiting for the food. She then became very defensive and told me that she tried to compensate me and that it is only the two of them working. My hand so happened to be on my hip during the entire exchange (before she came out), and was then told by the owner that my hands on my hip was offensive to her. I left and told her I wouldn't be coming back and I didn't want the cheese. Very rude and unprofessional. As for the food, the penne was greasy and seriously lacking basil. With comfortable wooden & black-metal seating, they're always offering something that is seasonally satisfying 🥑 ! The menu is perfect 🥓🥗 🍟🍔 🍕🍿 ! The staff is wonderful ☕ - you can BYOB if you BYOglassware or are fine with their clear plastic they have chocolate-candies-and-cookie boxes, which they call their Sweet-Treats-boxes, and they have a foosball table and a tournament-sized connect-four stand; with a couple of dozen tables that each seat four, it is an exceptional place for a 🎈 small 🎉 to 🎊 medium-sized civilized 🥳 - they prefer the avoidance of kid-crowds - those who'd avoid the subject revolving around getting jobs in their building (but the more popular they get, the more somebody might consider creating a separated baby-sitting business there)! They have seltzer and soda cans, iced-tea bottles, and their own home-made iced-coffees and hot-coffees! I went to. Rave on Saturday evening recently. I showed up at 6pm to the owner in his car. I masked up along with my 3 other friends and walked over to sit down at a busted up 4 person table. The owner came over no mask. He engaged with us and then went inside. He then can back no mask. And one of my friends asked if he could mask up cause she was uncomfortable and he replied “you can’t be too uncomfortable Because you aren’t wearing one. “. I guess. He doesn’t understand that we decide to be with each other and woujd alert each other if we felt exposed to or sick with Covid. But we didn’t ask to be exposed to whatever he’s been doing. Also. Isn’t it basically a law now that store owners take all precautions for their customers. I’m sure he will be very successful...
